Black Pest Control

A true warning about this business. they could not get ants under control for over 9 weeks at our house. They canceled appointments, rescheduled, and did not have the proper chemicals that they promised when we signed up for their service. They canceled on us day of service with no warning and said they couldn't treat our ants anymore- despite the fact that this is their Job. They also charged us for the month of service! Extremely unprofessional and can't get the job done. Beware.

Unfortunately I have a much different opinion of Black Pest Prevention after today's experience. After paying a monthly service fee (approx $65 a month) for over 14 years and receiving great service. I now have a wasp nest that needs to be removed on my home and Blacks can't/won't do it They stated it's "too high and they aren't allowed to use ladders because of insurance." So you've had no problem charging my credit card for all of these years (approx $10,000 in total) but when I need actual pest control you have nothing to offer and refused to even cover a portion of the expense for me to get someone else to do it to retain me as a long term loyal customer with a monthly service contract? Their only recommendation was that I should call Terminex! So, monthly contract cancelled and I recommend you look elsewhere for honest, reliable pest control services.

Great workers. Nice and very knowledgeable. We have used them for six years and are very satisfied. We have the termite protection with an annual service contract that includes sweeping the spider webs off the house, plus the mosquito spraying. Since Covid-19 has made it difficult for employers to find enough workers, they fell a bit behind like many other businesses, but came out as soon as possible when we had an issue. Our mosquito service is like clockwork, March through November.

Love this service. They are very helpful and will help in any way they can. If a problem comes up before your next treatment they come out and address it. Strongly recommend them. They are really knowledgeable about pests. Services: Hornets or wasps, Ants, Spiders, Mosquitoes

Blacks has been treating and inspection our home for 35 years. We recently found during an inspection that we had termite damage. We contacted another contractor to get another opinion. It was agreed that we had structural damage. We contacted Daniel at Blacks. He sent out their inspectors to evaluate. They also sent their treatment team out to re-treat our home under and outside.

The two men that came to evaluate were Justin and Rich. They were also the ones who removed the damaged wood and replaced it. My wife insisted on them pulling a county permit so that it would be on record and inspected for quality and safety. The county inspector came out and went under and came out and said that they had done a very nice job. This positive report made us feel very comfortable that Blacks repair team had done a great job and that we don't need to worry any longer.

The people here are professional and responsive but I had their annual service contract where I paid monthly and they come every quarter and will spray in between quarterly visits if you call. However, I had to reach out to them for my quarterly service every time because I never heard from them. Yes, they were always responsive and friendly when I called.

I could live with the lax scheduling, but by darned a whole year and they never solved my spider problem. Literally a week after them spraying the spiders were building webs in my house. This last service I joked they must have sprayed sugar water because now we have ants everywhere, which we never had before. Whatever chemicals they are using, while safe for pets, is clearly safe for pests too. I fulfilled my year contract and canceled. I think from here on out I'll do it myself.

We have used Blackpest for several years now. I love that we have the same technician Roger. He comes quarterly and takes care of our home. Recently I noticed we had wood boring bees and called for a spray. Unfortunately, I wasn't home the day that Roger came. But, not to worry! He found the location of their boring and several more also! I received a call and a follow up report to let me know exactly what was done. This put my mind at ease! Thank you Roger and Blackpest for taking great care of our home!

Chris and Michael came today to do the 1st prevention treatment. They sprayed inside and outside the house. They also dusted all the windows/under the roof area on the exterior wall to get rid of the spider webs. I think they did a great job!

I've been using Black Pest for at least 10 years now. They always have prompt service and are willing to come back if needed to address any issues. They are reasonably priced and offer a good value for that cost. Services: Ants, Spiders

We have had " Black Pest " since we had our new construction pretreatment and followed ups every year since " 1995 " They have been very professional and courteous at all times and very happy with all employees that have had done treatments and inspections since we have moved in and lived at our home. I have been a very satisfied service contract customer for 10 years. Recently, ants got inside the AC unit causing it to lose contact. I contacted Black Pest Prevention and they came to my house promptly and baited for ants around the unit. The guys that came out to treat our home for termites were very professional and did a very thorough job. I have been a satisfied customer for more then 10 years however the last year or so I have not been pleased with the products being used. I live near lots of woods/trees thus I recognize the need to have continued exterminator service. But surly after 10 years I should have a solid barrier against in the house. Sure they are professional, prompt even when they have to return multi times however my objective is to not see bugs in the house.

Black Pest has been apart of my home for now 5 or 6 years. We have enjoyed there service and they always respond very fast. I call and they show sometimes even in the same day. There always accommodating to the customer needs, especially when I need inside service done. Would refer this company to anyone. The Technician that does my route is always informative. Its true we have been with you for 6 years and not complain simply because we didnt have any issues at our home and you were doing the basic routine! When faced with a serious issue for the past year you didnt do ur due diligence as saying or showed any consistency, never received a follow up call, never had the same guy spraying our house as we asked every single time nor anyone of you mentioned that this issue is out of your control as your saying so we can figure it out ourselves!

Black Pest is a good company to work with. They are prompt and responsive with any additional service request. I'm impressed with their commitment to environmentally safe products. Every technician I've worked with has been courteous and very professional. They take time to explain why certain insect issues happen and how their treatment will prevent future events.

Something is going on with this company. Paid monthly and had good service for 4 years. Now it's OVER! DO NOT use them. They are a sham. The woman who is supposed to be the owner does not return calls. Their Matthews office is a shell. Their Springbrook location they will throw you out of (No Customers!) You pay them monthly for service every 4 months.

They tell you anytime you need them in between they come free of charge. NOW.they charge $85. if you ask them to come inside in addition to your monthly fee. You will notice that in 2019 there is not 1 positive review. I only marked 1 star because they will only print this if you mark a star. They deserve none.

I highly recommend going with another company, which is what we are looking into now and there are plenty of options. We inherited their services through the purchase of our home and they have been nothing but issues since we started using them and most recently, we cancelled our mosquito service because we have had more success treating ourselves and they deleted our credit card completely.

We called because we noticed we stopped getting charged and they were extremely rude, stating via email that they couldn't charge us because we had no credit card on file. Then we got a call from someone else saying they had accidentally deleted it and we needed to call and add it. Did anyone think to call us to tell us we no longer had a card on file? No. But, Dionne Whitley had no problem pointing the finger at us as if we went into the system and deleted our credit card.

They offered a $10 credit, but failed to state that we had to fill out at ACH form and send a voided check to do so. Nothing but a "sorry." We also have had to fight them to get someone to come out to our house when we identified an issue. Magically, after we pushed them they managed to find someone to come next day. Save yourself the trouble and use someone else.
