We have both residential and business services with Area-Wide. Each of these accounts are somewhat complicated due to their respective environments and service conditions. The commercial account may only be serviced on weekends (and now with added CDC covid restrictions and located within an oak grove). The residential service is located where all the other bugs and wild life live! David is the most conscientious and thorough technician we have had (in 20 years of doing business with many other service tecs and their businesses.) He does not take short-cuts and does exactly what we ask, and also keeps us updated concerning what is permissible within this industry, all while balancing our somewhat variable needs and differing strategies. David's overall experience, reliability, and dedication in this business has evolved into making him our "Go-To" with in the Area-Wide organization.

I am highly recommending AREA WIDE EXTERMINATORS who I recently switched to when an issue with Mice reoccurred in my home. These guys stand apart from the rest beginning with late hour real human customer service, set up a new account with a scheduled service call at 11pm on a Sunday night. Unheard of, this was followed with Frank, clearly a seasoned tech, who investigated, efficiently devised a service plan, went over details including the equipment & strategic locations placing them.
It was apparent he was an expert in his field & left us knowing we were in good hands. Next was a panicked call after crossing paths with a mouse that Carol handled with excellent customer service skills by immediately putting a call out for a tech & had one come out early the next morning. The tech who responded to the call was Mellissa the regular service tech from our second visit & brought extra options that worked by the next day.
What really impressed me was that she took ownership, showed she really cares inquiring information to better help, offered to come out to take pictures of the house. This could identify entry points that can be sealed to keep Mice out. As close to a permanent solution as it gets! So refreshing to experience stellar performance that goes hand in hand with a high work ethic, Mellissa is advancement material.
Not to mention Lisa a manager in accounting that was great about my first payment not going through due to cancelled card because of fraudulent activity. They do not disclose that they will be charging your account in advance for their service. They did not come out/schedule several monthly service calls. I had to call them twice to remind them they needed to service my property. When they did come out and thought no one was home, they serviced our home in about 10 minutes. We continued to have bugs inside the home and lots of spiders outside.
When we cancelled our service we asked for a refund for the advance charges on our account. After three weeks of no response, no refund, I had to call to get them to process a refund. PROS: They had some very nice people who serviced our property but never the same person.

Recently I had discovered. A place I manage had a rodent problem. Huge rodent problem. It was two weeks of nightmare hell. Rodents had chewed through plumbing and caused major damage and leaks throughout. Realizing that we had a large problem. I contacted Area wide exterminators and a gentleman named Mike called me right back! We scheduled for an estimate the following day. Exhausted and frustrated from the damage caused by "those dang Rats ". Mike assured me Area wide could assist in removal and handling of my pest problem! Mike knows his rodents! Professional, punctual, well educated, thoughtful, honest gentlemen! Mike's communications skills are excellent!

I spoke to someone name Andre on 01/01/18, who was very nice and had great customer service. He helped me schedule a termite inspection for today (01/06/18). During our phone conversation, he advised me that the inspector would arrive anytime between 8:00am - 10:00am, and the inspection fee would be $175.00. He advised me that I would pay the $175.00 directly to the inspector; however, if my home needed services, the fee of $175.00 would be rolled into the service fees.
I agreed to these terms because it all sounded reasonable. On Thursday, 01/04/18, I received a phone call from Cindy advising me that there was a scheduling conflict for Saturday and wanted to know if we could reschedule. I told her that I couldn't reschedule and really need a Saturday appointment--she then said we could leave it scheduled for Saturday, and she would call me back if there's any issues.
About an hour later, I called Cindy back to confirm that we were all good for the Saturday appointment because if not, I would need to contact a different company that could accommodate. She assured me that everything was good and someone would be there between 8am - 10am. So, here we are. Saturday. I waited and waited, but nobody ever showed up between 8:00am - 10:00am.
So I called the company and a woman answers (who I believe might've been Cindy again); I asked her if the inspector was still coming. She said the inspector would be at my house in the next half hour, but then she took the opportunity to confirm if the fees were already explained to me. I advised her of what Andre told me ($175.00 inspection fee).
She then told me that I was misinformed and that the inspection fee was actually $275.00. I told her that I had confirmed everything with Andre when I booked the appointment and he clearly said $175.00. She kept insisting that he misinformed me and that the fee would be $275.00. As you can imagine, I was really upset and felt like I was being jerked around.
First of all--they couldn't even keep the appointment, like why did I even have to call to see if they were still coming? And I totally felt like they were trying to charge me extra for the Saturday appointment by being sneaky and adding in the extra $100. So, of course I canceled and told her to not send the inspector anymore because that's just absurd.
This might've been a blessing disguise because I quickly called Clark Pest Control in Stockton and was able to book a same day appointment. They are sending someone this afternoon and guess what? FREE INSPECTION. So, if you guys need termite inspections, I highly recommend calling Clark or any other company because Area Wide Exterminators are clearly unreliable and flaky. Oh yeah, and they're LIARS.

Completely worthless.scheduled an appointment for some rodent extermination at my residence and they flaked. Not even a courtesy call to reschedule or anything. Sucks that I passed up overtime at work to make it home for the appointment just to save a couple bucks on a more affordable company. They clearly don't need my business.

Area Wide has been servicing my house for almost 2 decades now and am very pleased with service and staff they have. Most recently, the 2 techs that are awesome and are very customer service oriented are Wyatt and Deborah. They are very professional, knowledgeable of the insecticides they apply, very courteous and take their time to make sure all areas that need to be treated are, and take into consideration clients personal needs and wants. Wyatt does a great job explaining exactly what he is applying and how it is being applied. Having been in a family run business myself, with over 90+ years of service and 4 generations, i know what good customer service is and they definitely have tapped into it with these 2 and the office staff. Lisa is always pleasant to talk to when i call and makes sure my needs are addressed and implemented to her tech staff. Also, i had an issue this past year with one of my pets getting sick, we think from the recent application of the spray, and Carol, the owner, showed great compassion and concern for my lil guy and even went as far as to get the mfg rep on a conference call with me to go over my concerns and assure me of the safety of the product they use and apply.
That is a huge plus for me and should be the standard for all service related companies. The only issue I have with them, which I believe they will work on, is the issue of rotating techs and not having the same 1 or 2 techs service my house. I think that is important so the client can develop a good working relationship with their service tech and vice versa. Prices are going higher so hopefully they can perform at the same level without having to increase service prices and keep very competitive. All in All - Great Job!

10/27/17 I called Area Wide Exterminators regarding rodents in my attic. Area Wide sent Mike - service representative in my area. Mike has a wonderful presence about him. He is knowledgeable and thorough regarding his job, and what has to be done. Mike's customer service is outstanding. He is excellent in listening to the client's concerns, needs, and wants. Mike is exceptionally polite and respectful. Also, he is on time to scheduled appointments.
Very rare these days! I am grateful and pleased to have had Mike as my service representative. The problem was taken care of. I would not hesitate in recommending Area Wide services. It's a plus to our community having Area Wide - a locally owned business. Sharon D.

It's been a pain in the ass just to get them to come out. They missed the first scheduled appointment, telling me you were actually scheduled tomorrow. The next day they called saying they were double booked (obviously schedule placed me on the wrong day). When they finally came out to handle rodent problem, the technician, Troy, was awesome.
He seemed like he truly cared to resolve this issue. He said he'd be back on Monday to seal the access points where the mice and rats could be getting in. We arranged to be home on Monday for this appointment - no one showed up. I called - the office told me "No, you're scheduled for an appointment in two weeks". What!?!?! Two weeks!?!?!?! Meanwhile, the mice in the walls are keeping my entire family up at night, there's mice droppings everywhere, including in my kids rooms. We are so frustrated now.

This company is affordable, kind, and does a great job. I only have spraying done on the perimeter each month and the edges of my property. This does the trick, I see little to no bugs, ants and spiders. My technician calls me the day before my aptt to remind me when he is coming, he will always close and lock my gate if I am not home. I have had a great experience with Areawide!

Started great.ended poorly. I'm not sure they were showing up! No one leaves bill that they were there and my gate was locked so if they actually did show up I only had the front yard sprayed!?!? I'll try someone else. Maybe staff change cause they started great but service has changed and not for the positive

I had an appointment scheduled for yesterday and they never showed up. I called last night and left a message asking for them to call me to let me know when they would show up. I haven't received a call and no one is answering the phone now. Maybe my rating will change after I can get a hold of them and they show up. UPDATE: I was able to get a hold of someone and they re-scheduled my appointment for the next day.
When I got home I still saw 2 black widow spiders in my garage and they were alive. I assumed that the exterminator didn't show up again, but when I called to ask about it I was told that the chemical they use now is not instantaneous. They sent me information on the chemical that was used and it indeed does take a couple of days to work. After I read that it's basically a slow, painful death for these spiders, I had my son's father put them out of their misery by just squashing them. I haven't seen anymore spiders around since.

After seeking an exterminator in the local area who would access my attic and crawlspace, where the sounds of rodent activity were emanating from, to no avail -- I was extremely satisfied to locate Area-Wide Exterminators of Stockton, who assured me that they would both travel to Galt, as well as locate and eradicate the source of our problem. An initial visit from their field manager, Nick, who assessed the situation and then scheduled a service appointment for the following day -- Area-Wide sent out their technician David Turney, who I cannot say enough positive things about in terms of the scope of the service he provided. David initially inspected the entire perimeter of the house and garage, as well as the roof for any other issues or potential entry sites, and he accessed the attic area himself to inspect for any potential damage or other issues that may have not been visible from the exterior without hesitation. Consequently, not only was David was more than proficient in both identifying the access site, but also advising us how to eliminate further access and he made an effort to physically correct the problem.
Once he was able to find the access site utilizing his clear wealth of experience, he was then able to repair and eliminate it. After baiting the attic area as a precautionary measure and providing us with the reassurance that we had caught the interloper at an early stage, David then scheduled a return visit to do a follow-up to make sure the problem had been solved Overall, we were extremely pleased with both the professionalism and customer service that David demonstrated, as well as the cost for the service and results Area-Wide provided, which we found very reasonable for the peace of mind it has given us.
We would recommend that when you are looking for Pest Control or Exterminator services in the Central Valley area that you utilize Area-Wide as your company of choice -- and ask if David is available to provide your service. You won't be disappointed.
