Environmental Pest Management, Inc. was started by Jim Rice in 1974, as Rice Exterminating Company. Through the years, with the advancement of technology, training, and environmental, health and safety concerns, exterminators have evolved into Pest Management Professionals. In 2000, the company incorporated the business and changed its name to Environmental Pest Management, Inc (formerly Environmental Pest Control). In 2002, Jim's son, Jeff, joined the business full-time after graduating from IUP with a degree in business management.
If you have a bug or pest you would like us to identify, you can bring it to our office anytime. Everyone I've spoken with has been extremely helpful and went above and beyond to answer any questions I've had! I called them at 830 in the morning and they were at my place by 2 the same day. I called and they made time that day.

I'm a long-time customer of Environmental Pest Management and could never be happier with the result of their work! These guys are truly the best. The workers are always friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. If all businesses had an employee like Diane to talk to, the world would be a better place! The services I've had them provide so far are annual wasp/carpenter bee sprays. Couldn't be happier with the result and price! We've used EPM for years helping with ants that come into the house in the winter months. We've been lucky to have Josh come each time we have called them. Josh know the house and already knew what needed to be done. He's a total professional. Great knowledge of his trade. Great customer service skills. I called and they made time that day. Took care of our pest problem with 1 visit. Very knowledgeable and professional. They explained what would happen and if what was done didn't remedy the issue to call in but assured us it would be taken care of by the next morning. It was taken care of that evening.

Identified a bug for me via email and they were able to come out two days later to treat the property. I was very happy with how helpful they are and the quick responses and promptness of scheduling service. The tech was very friendly and professional and arrived on time. I used this company 2 years ago so I thought I would try them again. I was glad that they blew me off twice. The first call they wouldn't even let me make a appointment because it's was to far in advance (7 business days from when I wanted to make the appointment for). The second call I was told we have other places to do in that area so we'll give you a call when we can do it.
It's been 4 days and still no call (let's see if they ever call me). Luckily I called another place (McQuire pest control) and he was out the very next day and did more for the same price as I paid with this company.

My husband, Terry Jones and I had our interior and exterior of our home sprayed by your company for the first time. We are bothered by wood boring bumble bees every spring. This year, the technician Scott came by to apply the treatment. He let me know exactly what he was doing and where he was doing it. He also moves items away from where the treatment is being applied. Thank you, Scott for your prompt and efficient service.

Iam so grateful to these guys for their prompt response. They were great at keeping me informed and were flexible with woeking with me and my landlord. They treated my pets great and did a fantastic job in treating our home. They even worked with me on payments! For any pest needs im going to these guys.
