Venice Pest Control

Used this company two years ago for a rodent issue. Was sent a renewal and declined. 2 months later had an issue, tried to call them and received no answer so I used another company. Now, a year later I get a call for another renewal, decline and am told I owe $120.00 for a 20 min "visual inspection" from A YEAR AGO that I was never called about or approved.

Mind you, I have never received a bill for this either. When I called they would not tell me who approved this or what the technician did. If there is proof that it was approved I wouldn't have a problem, but she sounded like a broken record saying "somebody had to approve it" I spoke to Regina who had horrible customer service and was nasty from the start of the conversation.

When I asked to speak to a manager I was told that was as far as I was going to get and she didn't know what I expected to get out of talking to someone else. If I was the owner I would be mortified with the customer service I received. Horrible business practice. I would NEVER recommend this company. Stay away!

I saw all the bad reviews, but was going to try them out anyway because my family uses them. Then my elderly mother gets a call saying they are turning her to collections over a charge from LAST year? Very rude lady on phone. I will NEVER use them and will tell everyone not to use them. You don't harass your good customers. She has 3 homes that was serviced by them. Not anymore!

We have used this service for many years. The last few days we noticed cockroaches in the house so called in them this morning to ask that someone come to our house to take care of the problem. They were at our house that very afternoon. Their customer service is great and they are immediately responsive to our needs. Everyone we've dealt with is very courteous and professional.

Update: Someone associated from this company has tracked down and left a reviewed with my company without even using my service. Due to the review I had left them here. This is terrible business practice and I am appauled someone would do this. Original. Hired this company. Paid for the year, they came out once (when I gave them a check). Never again.

I called them about 8 weeks after the initial starting date as we now had a bad problem with ants. They wouldnt show up. They told us multiple times they would show up and did not. Terrible company. I ended up doing the job myself.

I was dealing with fly issue no other company could treat or take the time to diagnose. Venice Pest Control came right over and was able to help me and even called the following day to make sure treatment worked. Very grateful and highly recommend! Service: Bug & insect extermination

Not one insect in two and half years since I've been using them and they very quick to respond to things like the termite inspection I needed for refinancing.

I recently returned to Venice and moved into my rental, and I saw that some of the bushes and most of the lawn were in bad shape. It took the tech three weeks to show up and he stated I had a fungus on those bushes and he stated it is very difficult to keep the weeds out of my yard. He stated he would be back that week to do January service, He never came back.

After numerous calls to Regina in February, the office manager, and still not receiving any treatments, (Note, I had been with this company for over 5 years and in the past Steve the owner would make sure you received good service) I canceled my contracts for both lawn and pest service for it is obvious they no longer care.

I still have ants after a visit from this company, the people that come to the door are rude, and have no respect for the customer. Doug is a real bad person when it comes to respect for the customer. He acted so bad, I thought he hated me for calling his company. Service: Ants

We signed a year contract with them and had trouble getting the service we needed. When I called the office I was told my service guy contacted me and would not believe me when I said he never called! She said he will call you later today and that call never came. It's been 2 weeks and I still can't get any action.

I have used Venice Pest Control since I moved to Florida in 2006. Since the beginning their service has been consistently excellent. Our service worker, Doug, has been with us since the beginning and serves many, many residents in the Venetian Golf and River Club. Doug does a great job. Always on time; always asking you if there are any problem and always giving you a report when he completes the service Doug is very personable and his sense of humor just adds to the visit.

What I really appreciate is having the same service rep since I started with the company. Doug knows this house, knows of any challenges we may face and most importantly, knows our family. Kudos to Doug and Venice Pest Control

We've been a customer for nearly 20 years and have always appreciated the service we get from this company. There have been many times that the technician has gone above and beyond his quarterly duties to address what could be an incoming infestation due to seasonal complexities. Our current technician Crosby has even gone so far as to help us catch a rat that happened to get into our area above garage.

We only see him 4 times a year as scheduled but if we need him sooner he's only a phone call away. Professional, polite, knowledgeable and a kind hearted individual are just some of the words that come to mind to describe our guy Crosby. We would love to recommend this company to anyone looking for help in keeping their home pest free so that they can enjoy the Florida lifestyle.

Doug (Bugless Douglas) is a great all around person that truly cares about his customers. He always goes the extra step to make sure that his service is dione correct and professional. Since we used Venice Pest Control, we have not found one insect inside our home. He performs both interior and exterior pest control as well as rodent control. He suggest which type of outdoor plants attracts pest and lets you know that this can affect you residence being prone to the type of pest that they would attract. Always pleasant, professional, on-time, trustworthy, and thorough. Venice Pest Control is a great choice for Pest Service.

Doug always does a thorough inspection inside and out. He fixed our rodent problems- Armadillo and rat infestation around our pool equipment. Doug gave us good information about proper storage of dry goods in our pantry so we don't end up with bugs. . Doug is a good guy too! We would recommend his business in an instant. We have been customers of Venice Pest Control for over six years. Usually decent service, though not as good as I have done for myself in the past. This year however has been the worst in terms of service and the overall health and appearance of the lawn. I've been a homeowner for the last 50 years, never had a lawn as small as this and never spent so much money for such poor results.

We had Venice Pest Control (VPC)in November 2018 for a problem with fire ants. A gentleman arrived promptly, gave us a price and scheduled the appointment. On the day of the treatment I referred my neighbor who also bought the treatment plan and I asked if there was any discount for the referral. I was told "nope." When you sign the authorization to treat, you're asked to initial a section that schedules you for "auto-renewal" but I was not told that was for auto-renewal.

I do not like "auto-renew" so I called on 4/'12/19, spoke to Dawn, and stated that I did not want to conbtinue service. Nonetheless I still recived a letter on 9/12/19 stating that I needed to notify VPC if I wanted to cancel. I called and left a message to cancel on 9/14/19 at 4:08PM and called again today, 9/24/19 at 10:36AM, leaving a message to cancel. Dawn (who is very pleasant) returned my call from today and acknowledged the cancellation. I'm glad that she returnded my call as I have no intention of sending a letter via certified mail and fortunately, my phone service carrier has a record that I called the company several times. Bottom line, acceptable fire ant control treatment but lousy customer service.

I will absolutely never use them. The woman that answered the phone thought I had dialed the wrong number and was incredibly rude. The owner should know that her attitude an ill manners have cost him my business and who knows how many others. Completely unprofessional!

We paid over four hundred dollars for rat baiting stations. When we discontinued service Venice Pest Control removed those stations without our permission and with no refund.

These guys aren't the ones wearing the white hats in this business: I hired these folks because my tenant came home with a newborn baby and had roaches; I paid a PREMIUM, WAY MORE THAN COMPETITORS for them to get rid of the roaches, promising I would not have another problem --but the roaches outsmarted them, making my tenant understandably very upset when she found roaches on her baby.

The biggest problem is that when I called for a retreatment I got a runaround the likes I have seldom seen before. And again, A NEWBORN BABY --just down the street from them. I am finding another pest control company, you probably should, too

Tried to schedule. No luck. Must have all the business they need.

I scheduled an appointment with someone in this company. Everything was fine. I got a call the next day from someone else in the company letting me know the person who made the appointment was fired. They had no documentation of my appointment. Also, they tried to tell me the price I was quoted was insufficient. I worked with them and set up the appointment for the same time I had originally set it up for. They never showed up. When I called to find out why they told me the appointment was for next week. This is a unreliable operation. I would not use them.

Red Ants. Black Ants.nasty little creatures! I contacted VPC and they came out right away! They were absolutely great to work with and they taught me so much about these darn ants (I'm new to FL). Ever since they left, I haven't seen one ant - very happy indeed! Plus I am super health-conscious and have 2 dogs so it was very important that the treatments not be toxic. We never had to leave the house & the dogs and I are doing great :) Can't say that for the Ants! Thanks VPC (Dennis & Caleb) Leigh.

We were going with a different exterminator that just wasn't really getting the job done. When we switched to VPC we noticed a difference immediately. Plus the staff is professional and friendly.

We hired Venice Pest Control, Inc. to keep all Florida bugs at bay, and we have been extremely pleased with the company's services and our technician, Mark, also.
