Absolutely fantastic service! We are so fortunate to have this team helping us resolve a current issue we have in our rental home. The service and results are great, but honestly it comes down to helping people when they need help the most. Compassion isn't usually a word used for pest control, but this team has compassion and true aloha. Mahalo nui loa for your professional help and quick response!

If I could give a ZERO rating, I would. We scheduled a house tenting in Makawao for our home. We made a down payment of one-third of the charge. On the day of the tenting, the crew showed up in Surf Rental trucks and were extremely unprofessional. We have many cats on our property that had to be placed in kennels under a large tent set up in our yard.

After walking around for several hours and basically doing nothing, their supervisor showed up and stated that the crew would not be able to place the tent on the house. It costs us over $700 to round up the cats and rent the kennels and tent. This didn't matter to them, they jumped in their vehicles and left, leaving me infuriated. Another fumigation company responded to give us a new estimate and found no reason that the tent couldn't be placed on the roof.

We have a new metal roof on our home that is nice and solid. We were given multiple different excuses as to why the tent could not be placed on the home. Our animals were traumatized for no reason. This is not a fake review. Think twice before hiring these clowns. I would guess that this company is going to go out of business very shortly. I hope I get my down payment back before that happens.

Twice this company was scheduled to come in to my home for an interior spray and they didn't show up. Not very convenient for those of us who leave the property because we have pets or small children. Thanks again bug man

I had worked with this company for many years with good results. I think there has been a change of ownership or management because my experience for the past year has been really challenging. Today was the last straw. I always schedule the spider treatment and then window cleaning in sequence. Yesterday I got a call to confirm my appointment for today.

Today when I made special arrangements in my schedule to be at the house at the appointed time, no one showed up. When I called to question what was happening I was told that they called to cancel this morning because they needed two people to handle the job. Really? They did not know this when they called to confirm yesterday. I'm finished.

Finally made the decision to leave this company. I haven't been happy with their customer service from the beginning but put up with it because they seemed to at least get the job done. However, the hassle of not calling before apts., nasty customer service reps when you call and not showing up for like 5 months a couple times has me saying goodbye. I hate to leave a local company but they're lacking in local aloha and I can't deal with it anymore.

Thank you Kelly and Jeff for taking great care of us at Casanova's Restaurant and Deli! Our experience was very easy from the first phone call to the last. We were able to get the appointment for the day and time we needed! If we require services again we will for sure use Bug Man!

Huge mistake hiring them for our termites. They did nearly $5,000 worth of property damage. I have been calling them for a month to have the skylight replaced (they put their foot through it). We had rain and yes we now live with a pot in bathroom. They Kelly have completely blown me off to have the gutter repaired. We got it repaired yesterday $350 It wasn't just knocked off completly broken.

When I called them and said it's our main gutter. When it rained we flooded $3500 in damage. Need new carpet So much more. Muddy boots on my stairs inside. They used a very valuable vase to prop open a window.

Terrible customer service by Kelly in the office. Personal property missing (I don't think it was stolen, just accidentally wrapped up in tarp when leaving property). Kelly was completely dismissive and unwilling to look into the issue. I see she has been rude and dismissive to other customers on previous reviews. This employee alone will prevent me from using or recommending this company.

Moved into my condo and for years we had ants and roaches. The Bug guys showed up and both ants and roaches have been gone for two years so far. The crew members are friendly and fast. I'm grateful.

Very professional, courteous, staff at Bugman who cares about your needs. Quick to respond and always friendly. I suspect competing companies are writing bad reviews. We've tried the other major local companies over the years, and Bug Man is the most dependable & trustworthy. (The police investigated our previous exterminator, who broke into our house, twice. The owner of the company refused to believe me. I later heard the employee was fired for stealing.)

This company has the rudest office staff and tenting crew. Their booking department is always confused and miss bill for services. Only the technicians that do the spraying are great. The tenting crew were threatening and made racial comments. They destroyed and damaged many things purposely. And threatened to damage more. I would try any of the other companies over this one. TrueType gives Maui a bad name.

Superb! Excellent fumigation services from office staff to their super fumigation crew. They were very accommodating in all aspects of our project. Many Mahalo's

The worst pest control company on Maui. Our condominium is going through a nightmare dealing with this people. Customer service could not be worse. Homeowners meeting today decided today enough is enough and we're going to switch to a good and professional company Bowman, which is number one on Maui, with excellent reviews only. Bugman was good in the past but after the dead died, it went downhill and they have no concept whatsoever of providing excellent service and treating owners with respect. Absolutely not recommended.

Our condominium had been with this company for several years. But this last year we are very unpleased with their service and we are considering other companies. When its their scheduled day to come and spray, every 3 months, they get two or three units done and leave. Some owners stayed home to open the door for them and never even saw them. The owner of the unit they sprayed said that he was very quick and was in the property maybe only 15 min max. Also, they were scheduled at 9 but came at 8:30.

The owners that were home, they never even rang the bell, they just left. They also never sprayed the perimeter of the building, around our garage doors and front doors. Now we have a few angry neighbors that have to reachedule their jobs, just to be home again for them. Unacceptable for how much we're paying for this service. I do not recommend this company anymore. They changed.

I wish I could give this company negative stars because I would. I hope this review puts this company out of business, they left a huge hole in our tent and didn't tell us and tried denying it, they then came for another appointment and came the day before and denied that the messed up appointment was their fault. The supervisor was so rude and refused to take any blame for any of their mess ups. Very disappointing to say the least

Absolutely the worst pest control company. We are going thru a nightmare with them. First they missed the tenting appt that was confirmed by them the day before. An incredibly rude and abrasive customer service rep Kelly then lied about the missed appt then instead of rescheduling for the following day they made us wait another 5 days. When they finally did tent our cottage they had a big hole in the tent where gas escaped into the surrounding residents homes.

The service rep denied it despite the fact that the crew came back later and pinched it off. The owner was dismissive rude and unapologetic. The tenting crew did not have adequate materials to seal the bottom of the tent and pulled out rocks from the walls and yard to "seal" the tent. The following day when they removed it they tossed chicken bones everywhere in the yard and broke sprinklers and washing machine drain pipes.

They damaged our roof and used no fall protection. They wore rubber slippers on the roof when working! This is not the original Bugman from years ago. There are new owners. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Use professionals.

Scheduled an appointment to have an inspector come out and due an estimate for us. The inspector was very friendly and seemed to be pretty thorough. Waited a few weeks to get the estimate and never heard back from the company. When I called to find out what the estimate was the lady answering the phones was very rude and acted almost put out that I was calling to receive my estimate.

She said she would have to research it and call me back. I waited a few more weeks and never heard back so I called again. The same lady was again very rude. Finally I received the estimate over the phone and asked to schedule a service and she said she would have to call me back to schedule the service. I did not understand why she couldn't just schedule it then but I agreed and of course she never called me back.

A few days past and I called back to schedule the service. Again, was treated rudely and I had a few questions regarding the service such as can my dog be in the home, how long does it take, etc to which she said she would email me all of the information (not sure why she couldn't just answer my few simple questions over the phone). She never emailed me any information.

I made an appointment for 11:00 AM on a Friday and at 11:20 they still were not here so I called to see if they were still coming.they didn't even have my appointment in their books. Needless to say I didn't reschedule and would highly recommend using a different company.

We have been using Bug Man for 3 years now. Our once a quarter treatment in Haiku has been amazing. The tech is awesome and the office staff is very responsive to any issues we have. I have recommended them to plenty of other people on island and EVERYONE loves them and their service.

Spend lots of money to have my house tented. Although arranged from my realtor, they have never contacted me to provide any information that every homeowner needs to know about the prep, procedure or precaution for the termite treatment. They forgot to do the ant treatment. I have to wait for weeks and finally they called and again when I asked the questions, she just brushed it off. I will definitely go with different company next time. I don't recommend them.

I started with this company 16 years ago when the father ran the company. Service was excellent. Recently the father died and I'm told the family took over. It is a disaster. They NEVER arrive on time IF they arrive at all. They have not helped the foliage issue (infestation) despite many treatments. The supervisor arrives and says "I guess we need to try something different" after multiple failed treatments which is what I told them months ago.

He said, "I'll have the office call to set up an appointment to give both topical and systemic treatments". Guess what? A week later no one has called. This is a chronic issue and has happened before. So I called and got an appt. lined up and guess what? They didn't show at all! So I called again and was rescheduled. Tomorrow is the appointment and today the office called and said the owner said I was too difficult to deal with and they won't be coming.

The people running this company never learned anything from their father and would have been far ahead if they just sold the business when it was thriving. Thank you for "getting rid of me" before I got rid of you. Unfortunately for some of the employees who are nice and try their hardest, the owners and office are incompetent. If there are any good reviews on this company in the last year or so, it's probably a false reviewer or friend most likely.

My house was tented by the Bug Man for termite. The tenting was arranged by my realtor but still I was not given any information or precautions about the tenting or contacted by Bug Man. When I did contact them, my questions were brushed off.

After using the Bug Man service for termites we have experienced damage to the property after the Bug Man removed the tent from our home. They were contacted and photos were sent to them showing the damage. The owner responded to say that they were not responsible as their contract reads not responsible for damages. It seems like the Bug Man does not care about your property and can do damage without any recourse.

I would stay away from this company if you have termite or bug problems. I am sure that there are more reputable companies out there that will do an excellent job without damaging your property.

The people at Bug man are great. Not only did they come to my house and give me an honest assessment of what needed to be done to eliminate a small termite colony on our property, but Tim gave me an amazing education on what I can do as a homeowner to keep termites at bay. I can not imagine using any other pesticide service on Maui. Update: Bug Man just completed a termite fumigation project on my property and I could not be happier. The crew was efficient and friendly and they completed the process in less than one hour. Thanks Bug Man!
