Ants are extremely invasive. They build nests and grow massive colonies quickly. Odorous ants find areas where there is moisture. Black pavement aunts seek out walls and insulation and carpenter ants are most often found where there is wood. These stinging insects seek areas where there are sweet foods and fruit, bird feeders, and cracks and crevices in decks and porches.
Just wanted to say that I was very pleased with the services of 'Garfield Pest Control' services. Cindy arrived about 10 minutes late, but that was a GPS issue. She smoked and powdered the heck out of the Yellow Jackets that were under my porch. The next day my wife and I were able to sit on that same porch!
Most commonly, we identify with ants when we see them trailing to and from food sources in our home. Outside of your home, you may see mounds of dirt and sand in your yard. Ants such as carpenter ants may be seen crawling in and out of vents and other structures. Depending on the type of ant, they can also be nesting in walls and other hard-to-see-spaces.

Have used Garfield for years for ants. Just used them for mice exclusion. Rich was thorough, knowledgeable and so very pleasant. After initial inspection received bid for sealing potential/probable mice access points based on what he felt was needed. Taking a wait and see approach through this season and can readdress any issues that crop up later. Not wasteful of my $$. Only a phone call away if something comes up!

Rich and the team have been amazing to work with, we moved into a home that clearly had a pretty bad mouse infestation and they worked hard on treating the problem. To date we are 3-4 months of no activity and rich inspected our foundation to fill any access points. Highly recommend rich and the team! They were very responsive when I made initial contact. The tech came out, didn't recognize the type of ant we had in our house, but quickly identified it and came back the same day to spray. Fast forward to 2 weeks later we were still having an issue so I called and spoke to a woman who told me she would call back in a few hours when she got to the office about coming out for another spray.
Never got a call back. I waited a week and called again and was told that the following Monday she would reach out to schedule something on Tuesday. Never called. Bottom line is at face value they seem like a great company, but due to some false promises I can not recommend them.

I called Garfield to see about getting a large yellow jacket nest removed. Rich arrived on time, was very friendly, and got rid of the nest and put preventative in place within about thirty minutes. He explained a lot about the nest to me because I was interested and I appreciated how knowledgeable he was. He seems to respect the insects even though he has the job of ridding our homes of them and I appreciate that! I would definitely use them again.

We unexpectedly found that we have several wasps nests in our root cellar. Rich was able to squeeze us in the very next morning to come take care of that as well as do an inspection and treat our home. We are looking forward to continuing our service quarterly. Thank you a Ruch for coming out so quickly as well as educating us and not just trying to sell us on random services.

SO worth it! After hearing mixed reviews about other pest companies in the area, we blindly took a friend's recommendation to use Garfield when we had a serious Yellowjacket problem. We were so impressed with how professional they were (and very reasonably priced) that we have since signed up for quarterly "maintenance" service for other pests like ants, mice etc.
I want to recommend Garfield, and specifically our regular technician Rich, to everyone we know! He is always prompt, courteous, and tailors services to our specific needs. With two small children and a dog in the house, he was able to safely treat everything and with incredible results. Living in the woods, near water, we know it will always be a battle to keep pests out. I'm so glad we found these guys when we did.
