With the recent warm days, Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs are now starting showing up in greater numbers. Indoors, the best thing to do is vacuum them up. If you are seeing dozens a day, this is likely because you did not treat the exterior of your home last fall. Chemical treatments indoors, could allow too many to die in your walls. Believe it or not, a large percentage of the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug have survived in your walls all winter, and and are now leaving. This is where an exterior only service will payoff.

Main nest with Queen: prefers higher moisture, usually in water damaged wood such as rotten logs, railroad ties, old trees, water damaged overhangs or window and door sills. I read in the paper just the other day. It said during the winter and spring, there is nothing I can do for the invasion of Lady Beetles now descending upon my home. This is true to a degree. There is nothing you can do to keep them out. The reason is they are already in. In your walls that is. Only small percentages actually come out at any given time during the winter months.

They will use plumbing voids as well as circulation vents to travel from one part of a home/building to another. It is this habit that assures the spread of contaminated nesting material, feces, and urine and body hairs.

Brent has been fantastic. Long story short, my house had a pretty bad mice infestation that had ruined insulation and personal items in my finished basement and was just downright nasty. Brent came and gave me a reasonable quote to take care of the issue and clean up. I would consider it a significant job. Brent always responds to my messages and phone calls and is always happy to make things right.

We had a wasp infestation in the eaves of our two story home. I went through quite a few cans of Raid with little success. I needed to clear the house of this infestation before the painters we hired were willing to proceed with painting the exterior. Brent came out the same day we texted him and took care of the problem on the spot. He took the time to inspect the entire perimeter of the home identifying other problem areas such as a hornet infestation in the ground near one of my basement windows. Everything was resolved by the next day and we didn't lose our place in line with the painters. Brent is very personable, professional, and I highly recommend him.

I had the good fortune to call Spectrum Pest Control for a Required pre refi VA inspection. Brent was friendly and professional, informative and complete. Kind, knowledgeable, personable. We have him come our yearly. Had an emergency once and he responded ASAP. Long story short we had a fly issue and he could have come out within 3 days but told us they'd die within a week since their food source disappeared. He was correct! I own a local business and had a situation with a critter in our bathroom vent - I contacted Brent an hour before our first client and he arrived within 30 mins - turns out it was a bird! Although the bird left on his own, Brent investigated the situation and gave me tips on how to deter the birds return until I could get a screen installed. Given the fact that this was at our business, I appreciate that he responded so fast to help avoid an issue while clients were in the building.
