The two boys learned the basics of their trade from their father, Jim Salvant, who owned and operated a Louisiana pest control business while the boys were young. They spent their summers working alongside their father until he sold his business when the boys were still in grade school. A few years later, Paul and Jim both went to work for other pest control companies until 1978, when they decided to open The Bug Man together. From day one, customer service was of paramount importance to the company.

If you aren't happy with the results during your scheduled pest and/or termite control treatments, The Bug Man will re-treat the area at no charge. If you are not completely satisfied after re-treatment, we will work to solve the problem. Guarantees like that bring a whole new meaning to the word satisfaction.

With a staff of over 30 employees with 250 years of combined experience and over 40 years in business, we've (almost) seen it all. But we know that's not enough - that's why our technicians are constantly learning about new and innovative pest solutions to better serve our customers.
Our staff of technicians, with 200+ years of experience combined, can identify any pest control problem and create a specific service plan to control the issue. This service occurs every three months and treats inside and out of a property for large roaches, silverfish, earwigs & visible ant mounds.
The Bug Man works with a variety of industrial facilities such as petroleum plants, grain facilities, fertilizer plants, and more. We have many plans to choose from that are customized for industrial facilities for pest control, mosquito control, and animal control. Some of our services include fogging the property, rodent control for interior and exterior buildings, as well as nuisance animal control.

I spoke to Anissa she was very professional she helped me get set up in the bug man system. The same day Mr Ken called and had me taken care of the next day. Our service Provider Rachel has maintained the property to its fullest. She is very attentive and will notify us of any issues were having on the property. The Bug Man has been our provider for several years and we haven't had any infestation of roaches. I don't recall having any roach problem on the property. Outstanding service. Thank you Bug Woman.

*Edit to post: I checked my credit card last night and can confirm, the correct amount as we had discussed was charged for the services they completed yesterday. :) Wow! Reading the reviews on here is honestly shocking to me! The Bug Man has been nothing short of reliable and extremely knowledgeable for me. I haven't had issues with their billing department so I won't speak more on that.
What I will speak about is the amazing technician that I've worked with a few times over the past six months (once at my office) and just this morning at my house! The office complex has had issues with rodents and fleas from said rodents. They were able to get the problem corrected quickly and we haven't seen any issues since (that was in June/July).
Fast forward to this morning, there is suddenly a fly infestation in my house as of about 36 hours ago. I felt like I was living through the plagues of Egypt in my own home. I still had Mike's cell phone number in my phone from the office incident and texted him. He was able to squeeze my house in between appointments for a quick inspection. HE WASN'T TWO FEET IN THE DOOR AND KNEW THE PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY WHEN HE SAW THE FLIES.
He opened the fireplace damper and a dead squirrel fell out! I screamed, he didn't. He removed the animal and sprayed the house for flies, which are almost all dead on the floor now. YAY! I can tell you the whole thing took no more than a few minutes. I will be calling them for all future services! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

The Bug Man was recommended to us and we are very grateful for the referral. The turnaround time was quick from our initial inquiry. They have a web portal for invoices, payments and communication for service requests. Their staff is friendly, knowledgable and helpful. The service was on time and completed promptly. I called back to inquire about pets and was provided assurance safe products were used. In addition, I was also provided detailed instruction on the best way to ensure our pet was kept safety until the Product dried. We highly recommend them.

After three treatments that didn't work, they billed me for full service. I called and spoke with a representative in several occasions, explaining that the bill was inaccurate as the services were not done and/or not done correctly, (for example one time they left a big bomb on my front porch instead of actually big bombing the house). I ended up using another company that solved my bug problem.
Eventually the Bug Man sent my full bill to a collections agent and I paid it. Don't use these guys! They not only don't get the job done they don't care about their customers' experience.

Although their pest control service is outstanding, their billing department is horrific. They double charged my card by $800 and I can't get it back from them. They tell me they are crediting my account, but that hasn't happened. Extremely frustrating. I'm sure there's other pest control services that can get their billing straight. Now I can't even get a person to answer my call. The calls keep going to an answering service who is clueless. Take my advice and stay far, far away from this company.

They are horrible and extremely unprofessional. Worst I've ever dealt with. They always try to invoice us for work they have not yet performed. and they argue with us about it each time. This has been going on for years without fail. Hard to leave because of termite contract. Will have to pay $1,000's to start over with new company. Save yourself some major headaches and from dealing with a scam company.
