When the dot.com crash of 2001 caused Gerry to reassess his career, he drew on his experience with these best of breed companies and prior experience in human resources and farming earlier in life. I had to endure a year contract with this company and was really happy when our year relationship ended so I would not have to deal with the poor customer service with their office. The technicians who came to my place to apply the insect treatments every month were always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. So the sole star goes for them. The office staff is highly disorganized.
Even pre-pandemic I had numerous scheduling problems and communication problems. There were several times that they had to cancel my appointment at the last minute or several days prior to my appointment. This was such a hassle because technicians were unavailable outside of my working hours (I work the normal Monday through Friday business hours).
The cancelled appointments were usually vague reasons that they just couldn't get a technician to my home because they were double booked etc. I was just so sick and tired of hassling with their scheduling team in the office, I was really happy to tell them not to continue my contract with them. Luckily, I found one that I am happy with currently.

We had problems with ants, spiders, and gophers. Jay from Hearts came out to our home today. He was extremely friendly, and professional. He came in and answered all of our questions, and did a fantastic job on a Friday night! We highly recommend Jay and Hearts Pest Management for there outstanding customer service, and attention to detail! Thanks again Jay!

After making 3-4 calls to get bees removed from an eave at my home without any luck, I was finally referred to HEARTS. David came out to my home and I explained the situation and said we may not see any insects, but assured him they were there. He was patient and told me that it was probably wasps, not bees. We finally found one, he identified them as "wood bees" and took care of the problem for me. He was patient, understanding, not condescending (as another bee person had been), and promptly took care of the issue. Very pleased!

I've had them out twice. Once to clear some rats (turns out it was just mice), and once after we found a black widow on our patio furniture. For the spider, David, the senior manager, came out to inspect the next day and upon seeing that we have a koi pond in the backyard told us he couldn't spray back there. But he visually inspected the whole backyard, found 2 widows and 3 egg sacks and killed them all (he crushed the egg sacks and babies with his fingers!) and gave me a lesson in black widows, their webs, their breeding habits, etc.
He didn't charge me because he didn't spray. Recommended that we call him back to spray around the front of the house if we see more problems, but he didn't think we'd have one. A very friendly, informative, and fair service. For the mice it was thorough and friendly as well. I definitely recommend them!

We had a mouse in the house and a bunch of rats in the attic. After months of setting every trap known to mankind and not getting one single rodent, we gave up and called Jay Strassner of Hearts Pest Management. He set traps and got them all. Then he plugged up the holes where they were all getting in. It was worth every penny. What a nice guy and so efficient! I can't believe we spent months and $$ trying to solve our problem on our own. Highly recommend Jay!

Reached out to Hearts Pest Management a few months ago when we realized the gophers were killing our yard. The office was prompt and quick to schedule us with an assessment meeting. Jay came out and gave us the low down. Explained everything that needed to be done and more as well. He was very informative and the estimate was fairly priced. We called the office and scheduled an appointment ASAP to get rid of the gophers. Jay came in the following week and took care of it.
Three months later we have had no gophers return! Hurray! Yes it's a monthly payment service schedule but having him come out and check every month is such a relief than dealing with those dastardly gophers again! Shoutout to Jay who is extremely knowledgeable and friendly! Highly recommend their services! Thank you Jay!

Hearts sent me Starbucks cards for a great review and a referral - ask them how this program works. Hearts - still no ants, and I got lovely Starbucks card! The company that keeps on giving! The company with the big heart! Although the ants will probably come back, eventually, like they usually after a long rainy season and the upcoming hotter than hell summer, it won't be so painful knowing how long they'll be gone - and that Hearts uses organic spray (when requested). I love this company!

This is our second time using them (second chances) and we are very unhappy with the service. We are constantly inundated by ants and they informed us they only treat around the perimeter of the house and not the property line where the ants are coming from. They are expensive and charge you a high cancellation fee if you decided to discontinue service due to poor performance.
You shouldn't have to lock your customers into a contract if your service is good. UDPATE: After receiving their defensive reply bashing their competitor I wanted to clarify that our home is completely surrounded by CONCRETE not landscaping. I'm not surprised they are unaware of this given the problems we have had with their service. I will give them credit for waiving the cancellation fee but a F- for bashing their customer and competitor.

Well. it's been over a month and the ants have not returned. I comfy in my home again without seeing ants wherever I turn. I'm thrilled with my results of a one-time treatment. I know there's different scenarios and I feel lucky to have them gone with just one treatment. Thanks again Hearts Pest Control, . you are my go-to for future needs, if needed!

Great Customer Service and fair prices. They are very easy to do business with and friendly. The treatment I set up is monthly and will take care of the creepy crawlers I've been spotting around our house. John is helpful and answered all the questions we had about different bugs and spiders. Glad I ran into him here in Julian where we live and they service other homes nearby.

From the company CEO, Gerry Weitz, to the technical people and office support staff, Hearts Pest Management is a solid and ethical organization. It has proven itself to me throughout the years and I give this company my strongest possible recommendation. They stand by their work and word, which, in this day and age is rather rare. The costs are reasonable, especially for people on fixed incomes, and from what I gather, Hearts strives to work with those in all income categories. Hearts is an A-Z pest control delivery firm, that is environmentally friendly and safe, yet effective.

We live on the 27th floor of a condo, downtown. I discovered, late one night, that we had "bugs" around the sink. I asked the management here, who to call and they suggested "(competitor name deleted)." When I called him, he told me we had roaches and to scotch tape 2 of them to a white piece of paper and leave it at the front desk.

My experience, beginning with my initial call - after 5 - talking with Allison, was the beginning of a perfect effort by Hearts to get control of the situation, identify that the roaches were coming in from the plumbing pipes that had not been sealed, which allowed for infestation from other units. Curtis Williams, the Senior Consulting Technician, did a superior job of explaining how this happened, and the solution to rid ourselves of this pest and never have it occur again. He did everything he said he would and more!

Greg Fox helped solve our bee infestation. We had technicians out previously who were not half as professional and efficient. He also provided information about rodent problems.
