Rodent Guys Pest Control and Gopher

I have to enforce the rudeness of the office manager. I inquired for ground squirrel control with carbon monoxide as advertised here on Yelp, and was told that they do not want to do business with me. This was extremely rude as I was not the one to write the advertisement. MY assumption was that I could talk to the owner, providing the service as a person on the phone senht have not been aware.

After her refusal, I started reading her the advertisement and t hen she said I am unsuitable customer. This is rude, unprofessional, and plain unlawful. Here is what their statement reads: Established in 2009. For years owner Nick Nielsen used poisons for controlling gophers throughout Los Angeles, Riverside, Ventura, Orange and San Bernardino Counties.

As laws changed and people became more educated about alternatives Rodent Guys changed as well. In 2012 Rodent Guys switched from poison to trapping for gopher control, mole control and ground squirrel control. This coupled with carbon monoxide gas treatment has made Rodent Guys Gopher Removal Service the most popular with pet owners. Licensed trappers are used for animal trapping for gophers, skunks, raccoons, opossums, and squirrels.

So not sure what to do here. I could approach different venues but this is a family business and I usually support small family businesses but not certain why it has to be so rude and lie to people.

The worst ever experience with Kathy, the receptionist and the guy who comes to do the work. I hired them 4 years ago and they were very reasonable and the guy when he comes he does a great job by eliminating all the gofers in my small back yard (grass area, about 200 square feet). Last year, when I called Kathy said it will be 10% off the original price because I am a returning customer.

When the guy came, he charged me full amount and said, that amount is after the 10% off. It is such lie and they cheated me. This time, when I called she increased the price by $100 and said 10% off of that because of returning customer and this time I asked her, in that case after 10% off, how much it would be. I wanted her to give me a the discount price and she said he will let you know and she doesn't know. She and the guy who does the work are liars and cheaters. Please go to other companies if you have any rodent issues. They are real rogues

I had them out today to give me a quote. I was pleasantly surprised to have them tell me that although I had gopher tunnels.they were gone! I can't tell you how much I appreciated the honesty. That speaks volumes! So rare these days.

If you have gophers, call Rodent Guys and you won't have them for very long. Super friendly Bruce came out, set traps, and explained the process. He came back a week later and trapped two gophers that were destroying my lawn. Very reasonable price and great service. Plus they have a 60 day guarantee if more come back. Can't go wrong with Bruce and Rodent Guys!

I can't emphasize enough, how devastating 1 gopher can be to a lawn. Initially I asked neighbors how they dealt with a gopher problem. I received 50 different answers and 50 different methods ( from 'Water Hoses.,t o smoke bombs ). All good advise, but none were beneficial. However., the one response I did receive, was from a neighbor that praised "Rodent Guys" in San Dimas.

I called and they sent out a Gentleman named 'Bruce'. Bruce was 'bar none' an actual "Authority" as well as A "Teacher", in the art of Rodent Elimination. Bruce explained to me what he would do., what I should do after he prepared the trap laying and when he would reappear for follow up. That Day, . the culprit was extinguished.

How did I know?. Because I made the mistake of leaving out my dogs in the area and they dug up the traps, with 'Gopher Gus' attached to one of them. I immediately called Bruce back. Bruce packaged the evidence and as a follow up he reinspected the area and Gassed the tunnels to insure there were no more. Bruce and 'Rodent Guys' told me to call them back if the same persisted. THANK YOU "RODENT GUYS"., I'd give you 10 Stars if it were available and please insure you employ Bruce for now on. I've already passed on your information along with a suggestion to ask for Bruce

THEY GOT THE LITTTLE BUGGER! I had a mole that was destroying my yard. After trying every kind of trap I could buy on Amazon, as well as those gasser things (and spending a couple of hundred dollars in the process) I called Rodent Guys. The woman on the phone told me up front that moles were very hard to catch, but I insisted I had no other options.

A wonderful man named Bruce came out and set traps. It took about 3 weeks but finally we had success! I am so grateful to Bruce for all his hard work. He always called ahead to let me know when he would be arriving, and did everything he could to leave me as a satisfied customer. I know I may be confronted with moles again, but they have a 60 day guarantee and I will definitely call them first instead of last if this should ever become a problem again. Highly recommend this company. Professional and reliable. Got rid of gopher problem within 2 weeks. They call you ahead of time to let you know they're coming.

They charged around $300 for a couple of gopher traps and five minute work and give me 60 days warranty. Exactly after 60 days the gophers came back (I think they work for rodent guys:)) and destroyed my lawn again. I paid another $300, and guess what - the gophers are back after warranty expiration. I wish this was funny, but after wasting $600 I still have full lawn of rodents.

I've called numerous times and they have never answered or called back. Very disappointing.

I started to notice new holes in my backyard. I called rodent guys and they come out right away. When they got here, they noted that the holes weren't caused by gophers, but probably a racoon or some other animal.

They said to give them a call if I noticed other holes, but I don't have to worry about gophers today. These guys were amazing, they were very helpful and came out and when they saw I don't have gopher problems, they left without worrying about payment. I highly recommend these guys if anyone has any issues with gophers.

He always called me before coming to my house. He installed the trap quickly and returned a week later to check the trap and take the gopher away. Thank you!

If you have a problem with gophers, Rodent Guys WILL solve your issue. My front/back yard and side slope was a mess. New mounds virtually daily. When I initially found a mound I set a trap and managed to catch one. Thinking there was at least one other I continued to set traps when a new mound developed. No luck. As time passed the problem got worse. Decided to contact a professional who sent Jeffrey who came and assessed the problem.

He continued to come weekly per their warranty and ended up catching 13 gophers over a period of 5 weeks. I was amazed by the number of gophers he caught. I would have never been able to catch that many myself. For me it was money well spent as I am gopher free. No reservation recommending Rodent Guys.

We are very happy with Rodent Guys and our expert gopher warrior Rilo! He has been scoping out the area and setting traps a couple times a week for about three weeks and the score is Humans:2 / Gophers:0! He caught one in the back yard and one in the front yard. Rilo and the Rodent guys did a fantastic job with my gopher issues. The appointment was set by the front office and Rilo contacting me stating what time he will arrive. He knows the inside out of everything needed to know to battle the gophers. He assessed the situation and started placing his traps throughout the backyard and front lawn. He checked up on the traps a total 3-4 times until there were no signs of new gopher activity anymore. We were able to capture 3 gophers in total. The service comes with 60 days guarantee and they will come back to assist if new signs emerge within those 60 days.

If you're looking to control rats or mice, don't let the misleading name fool you. They only service outdoor RODENTS, such as gophers, moles or squirrels. Very misleading name.

The gentleman who came out was fantastic, but the woman who answers the phones and scheduled our appt was rude and dismissive.

These guys are most definitely top notch. We are a pet owner with a dog. Rodent Guys use traps that they bury. After seeing how they do it, I was not worried about our dog. And they got the gopher without using any bait at all, therefore no worries. Pet owners, these are the guys to use.

We have used them for our quarterly gopher needs this year. Better then trying to do for yourself, expensive, but worth it. No more dead plants and trees.

Honest and thorough. My mother's house had a gopher problem for several years. Gentle eradication methods by a $57/month company weren't working. Called Rodent Guys and now I haven't seen any new gopher holes in two months. They did charge more, though. And they use stronger methods but overall I think they're much better. And, they noticed when I overpaid. I like that.

I called Rodent Guys 909 599 4722 and Rilo came right away. He checked the whole area and said you don't have gophers you have moles. And you don't need to worry about moles because they do not eat the roots of your trees but just eat the bugs. AND RODENT GUYS WAS GOING TO CHARGE $200 for a 60 day guarantee I said thank you so much and let me pay you the $200.

Absolutely not he said. This brought me to tears. To find an honest person who did not try to gouge me! THIS IS AFTER I TRIED ELIMINIX. DO NOT USE THEM!I am so disappointed in this company! They promised to deal with the gophers under the avocado tree. He came twice and said he would be there three more times! I said what if you don't get the gophers.

Do you continue? He said no but I can keep coming back and charge you $50 each trip. I was shocked and I argued with him. He did not come back. I was very angry with myself that I did not go to the company who dealt with my goohersbefore and gave me a 60 day guarantee Have faith! There are still decent people around

What I loved! They use no chemicals. Yes No chemicals. Safe for dogs. For that reason alone I might use the again. What I didn't like. I called Rodent Guys and I was quoted on the phone a certain price. I even asked twice are you sure this is the price for my home? I live on a hill and have a large hillside. She said yes as long as its under 5,000 square foot land area.

Ok well when they arrived. The pricing increased! I said ok and moved on. 2.- I requested an additional month of golfer service. I stated I wanted it on a per month basis. Well without my authorization they continue to charge my credit card. I finally called them and they stated the monthly maintenance was on a month AUTO RENEW. an auto renew that they never mentioned to me.

The receptionist on the phone stated she mentioned that, but i'm very sure she did not. The reason I'm sure is I work with auto renewed contracts and if she mentioned that I would have remember. 3.- When I tried to cancel my auto renew, the receptionist said if I want service again it will now be closer to $300-$350.00 to get gopher service at my home unless I agreed to be charged on their auto renewed service. From a serious yelper!

I cannot keep from thinking that the bad reviews for this company (Rodent Guys) have somehow been deleted. My service has been laughable and poorly handled. Before I go into great detail about how bad it has been I am giving them an opportunity to redeem themselves tomorrow. I have requested that a different technician service my property. Hopefully the bad luck and service is due to a bad and lazy employee and not the company.

Update 3/25/2017 My relationship with these guys has since improved. Gophers are being removed and my plants are flourishing. Some wonder why I continued with their service? I believed these guys were the right choice when I first made the choice to hire them. After speaking with the owner and getting a new technician I believe it was the right choice.

The poor service and lack of customer care was due to a less ambitious employee. My property is now being serviced by Art and he is doing a great job. The company and staff is quick to respond to my calls and emails. A bad and lazy employee is bad for business. A good employee is vital for a successful business. Thank you, Rodent Guys.

They sent Bruce out and is he not only the nicest guy you will ever meet but he is very professional and takes pride and is passonate about what he does. Plus they are less expensive than others. We just recently xeroscaped our yard so he was very adamant about getting rid of the gophers. He took care of them promptly, and they offer monthly and quarterly service.

We signed up for the quarterly and after about a 2 1/2 months gopher mounds appeared again. They were at my house the next day after I called. We would never use another company beside Rodent Guys.

Great work by this company. They were very informative and open about what types of services they offered and how they would be carried out. Chris came out to our house and determined we had a ground squirrel problem. He was professional and thorough. The trap got one in just a day or two and Chris took care of the burrows and took preventative measures to be sure all openings were closed.

He checked the traps for the rest of the required time and made sure to leave updates when we were't home. Even when I saw another squirrel a couple days after the service contract was complete, they offered to set up another trap for a day or two just to see if they could catch this newcomer. Very courteous and exemplary offer for I had incorrectly remembered part of the service contract. Give them a call if you have any rodent problems and you'll get results.

Our backyard has a hill which has a native plant landscape, meaning there are clear patches in between vegetation. All of a sudden our hill had hills, gopher hills that is. The first 3 weeks our gardener tried his luck to no avail. I found the Rodent Guys on Yelp and called based on their reviews and sent an email over the weekend. We received a call the next business day, described the problem, they quoted the price ($250 w/60 day guarantee) and a couple of days later they showed up at the scheduled time.

The treatment consisted of 3 visits in the first 18 days in which bait and traps were put into the tunnels. Visit 3 had the desired result and showed the gopher in the trap. We have had no problems since.
5 stars because of responsiveness, no hidden fees, guarantee, timeliness and care while on our property.

Gophers had quickly become a nuisance and the holes they left created a safety concern on our Little League fields. Ignoring the problem only made it worse as these things seemed to multiply ten-fold every season. After scheduling a survey, Rodent Guys came in well below what the others wanted to charge. Keeping our costs down was important especially because we are a non-profit that wanted to continue with regular monthly treatment.

The techs were able to identify the problem, told us how the population was traveling down- and upfield, and provided multiple treatment options for our four fields. Because our league operates around kids, we opted for the trapping option. They also worked within our operating schedule, another huge plus. During the first month, they were able to successfully trap 100+ gophers (that had run rampant, having created ugly, collapsed tunnels through our fields)!

Because we are adjacent to a state park, we are now on a monthly preventative plan and the guys report back with activity levels and whether any successful trappings occurred. I am happy to report our fields are looking much better than before and only once in a while do we see fresh activity. Even so, all we have to do is call and the Rodent Guys techs are all over it. I highly recommend them to any homeowner, city parks and rec, or anyone in charge of overseeing (large or small) field maintenance at their facilities.
