I called and the owner was so lovely she sent a technician to my step daughter an hour and a half later and resolves the issue as well as walked everyone through the steps to make sure it doesn't come back. Would highly recommend to anyone with school age children trying to get rid of the lice in a hurry. Customer service was phenomenal.

I called at around 6pm and Emma showed up at my house about an hour later. She came prepared. I was amazed. She cleaned my daughters hair in two hours and continued to check me and clean me. She checked my 11 month old as well.

She left a little after 11pm. Emma was very competent. My daughter is clean, clean, clean. No lice, no nits, nothing! I would have never been able to clean her in two hours. She's amazing! While searching the web for a lice removal company when my daughter had lice I came across lice free Noggins, I was so happy to see they came to the house and even better the same day! As most of us know it can be an overwhelming, stressful situation that I especially was having a hard time with as my daughter has thick and long hair. This wasn't our first experience with lice--we became well acquainted with the services of a local hair cleaning salon while living on the West Coast when my first child was a toddler. But flash forward half a decade, cross country, plus one child, and nearly two years into a pandemic, I figured it would be safer and more convenient (but probably not easier on the wallet) to have a service come to the house to inspect and clean our family.

She made the registration (and later) payment process go smoothly. Our tech Aina worked efficiently yet thoroughly. While she didn't have to soothe tears like our first de-licers out West did, she kept us all calm and relaxed while she checked and combed each head, leading us through the hair-care steps and scanning the space to point out items that would be in our best interest to clean.

I had been bracing for a major hit to the wallet and was pleasantly surprised by how relatively affordable in-home service was. The child with the bugs enjoyed Aina's company and the final look of her blown-out hair so much that I fear that she's going to seek out lice so Aina will come back! While I hope that we don't repeat this experience anytime soon, if we do, I will certainly be inviting Lice Free Noggins into my home to deal with it again!

We had Nina from Lice Free Noggins come to our home after my son was itching his head and I found a few lice nymphs in his brush. Turns out my other son, my husband, and I also had lice! Nina was wonderful. She treated all 4 of us, was gentle and patient with our young sons and very helpful with all of our many questions. We felt very confident in her care!

I appreciated that there were no harsh chemicals used, but the cedar oil kills the lice before she combs them out (nothing alive wriggling on the table). They are upfront about the price and charge a single fee per person for lice/nit removal (this is important! Do not go anywhere they charge by hour as this can get dangerously and unnecessarily expensive!). They charge a smaller fee for a lice check, which, if lice are found, will be deducted from the lice removal fee so you do not pay twice.

They were available for a home visit the next day. I booked and did not have to give our credit card info. over the phone (unlike the other company we were considering). Aina was fantastic! She arrived on time just as I was getting back to my apartment, and she was really thoughtful--she didn't ask me if I was the client with lice (thanks, Aina!) but tactfully figured out that we were who she was meeting.

She got to work right away checking my partner's hair and then my hair and was kind, friendly, and very patient! She answered all our questions and put our minds at ease! She also used a wet check, which helps see if anything is there (the other company we were considering only used a dry check). Would highly recommend this service over other providers--who were difficult to deal with, opaque in their transactions, and sometimes seemed deliberately misleading as we were getting quotes from them. Over the last few years, we have had the pleasure of having lice a few times with our young children. Usually we conquer it ourselves with tons of Terminator combing and Lice MD. I cannot say enough about our positive experience with Lena. I was horrified to discover my 3yo's (and my) first infestation, and I was beside myself. LFN came highly recommended, and I appreciated the 24/7 access: I reached Lena right away, and she confirmed our next appointment. The fact they do house calls is amazing and beyond convenient. These folks TOTALLY delivered. Responsive immediately by text and then sent someone (who was wonderful!) to our home within a couple of hours to comb through every possible person. And Lena (owner) answered every question swiftly and thoroughly. Truly top notch.

What an incredible service. Our three-year-old has long fine tangly hair that lice LOVE, and an extremely sensitive scalp. Nina came over within hours of K being sent home from preschool, and combed through K's hair with cedar oil, conditioner, and baking soda--no pesticides or dimethicone--until all the live lice and viable nits were gone. K was very upset about the combing and Nina struck a good balance among taking breaks, suggesting things that might help (a favorite toy, TV, holding K in a lap rather than strapped into a booster seat), and persevering.

She gave us detailed advice on how to clean our furniture, toys, clothes, and bedding to make sure there was no reinfestation; shared a recipe for homemade leave-in conditioner with lice-repelling essential oils; and left us the bottle of cedar oil, in addition to advising on the merits of oil treatments vs. enzyme treatments. She also checked over everyone else in the household.

The next morning there were still some egg casings that the school thought were nits, so K got sent home again despite having the certificate explaining the difference between egg casings and nits. Emma came over and did a second combing free of charge! Both Nina and Emma were incredibly gentle and thorough and patient. They told K everything they were going to do before they did it, offered spare combs for K to play with (or fling in rage), and took the tears and protests seriously and sympathetically without being undone by them.

By the end of the second bout, K was happily brushing a stuffed toy while Emma did the last comb-through. Lice can be so traumatic for the whole family. Lice Free Noggins makes it as painless as possible, with a very reasonable fee and amazing responsiveness. We are so grateful they exist! When the inevitable next round happens, we'll call them right up.

One note: the combers bring inexpensive conditioner to use as a lubricant for the combing, and it's very strongly scented. I've washed my hair four times and I still have a whiff of Pantene; I suspect I'll be smelling it here and there around the house for the next several months. However, they will happily use your preferred brand of conditioner if you ask.

She also treated our younger daughter, and the girls' paternal grandmother, both of whom had milder cases. We got very positive feedback from grandma; clearly, Nina works well with patients of all ages. Finally, Nina was also wonderful company, and proved to be a calming influence in our home. Meanwhile, Lena also kept in touch, following up on the care and answering all our questions. Nina's suggestions have already begun to work and our daughter's hair is already less dry as a result.

We tried over the counter stuff. Twice! What a waste of so much time and money! I had no idea that services like this exist until a search on Google. Was thrilled to find Lice Free Noggins who had a lice guru readily available to come to our home in New Jersey. The warmth, compassion and knowledge that was provided was nothing short of Amazing! Turned out that my daughter was pretty infested and with tons of hair, there is no way we could have done the job on our own. Nothing bad to say at all. Those that have kids know the nightmare of lice. Its not fun. You want to hang your head and cry. If you dont have the hours in the day to go through your hair or your kids hair, this is the way to go. Their hair comb is waaayyyyyy better than the one in the store. They also use natural products, so you can avoid toxic chemicals.

I was concerned that I had lice, especially being that I work with the homeless population and folks with an array of medical issues. I called Lena and she was quick to tell me what I had was oily build up (sebum) which makes sense because I have been using lots of deep conditioning treatments lately. Phew! This was no charge, and she was great. She also recommended product for me. I'll be calling her in the future for any of my lice related needs and/or referring this service to friends/family.

I was able to make a same-day appointment for Lena to come to my house and check my kids. It was a great service. My son and I were checked (fine). My daughter had nits, which Lena methodically removed. In my opinion, it's worth having someone come to your house. The treatment costs about the same as treatment in a lice salon, and you don't have to travel or pay for taxis. Also, Lena shares her knowledge about lice, shows you how to do the checks and comb outs, and helps you prioritize what you need to do. Both my kids passed their lice checks in school 2 days after Lena came, so I was very happy!

Lena G. responded quickly to my desperate plea for help with at least one case of lice in our house. She came out to our house and in one afternoon treated three girls (all with long-ish hair) and did checks and comb outs of 2 more children and one adult. she was so nice and helpful and really saved us from what could have been a much worse situation.
