We are so grateful for Paratex! We had just moved into our new home and were welcomed by a whole colony of moisture ants. Paratex came highly recommended by a friend, and we're so grateful we called them! They were so quick to respond and sent a team member out to consult the next morning. When she wasn't completely sure on the insect, she asked her boss, Ray, to come check it out to be sure. He was so kind to clean up the insects, spray for the year, and he reassured us this shouldn't be a reoccurring issue! Thanks for the fab service!

SCAM ALERT, do not go with Paratex for bed bug treatment! Got referred to Paratex through my landlord for bed bug treatment. They asked for $1100 with tax which was hefty but they told me multiple times that it'll definitely work and given how desperate I was, I took the bait. However, the next day I reentered the apartment after treatment, having brought nothing back but my clothes on me to ensure I don't have any bed bugs.

I still saw and experienced BED BUGS in my apartment after that. Afterwards I called Paratex FOUR TIMES to speak to the technician and owner for an explanation and FOUR TIMES they said they'd call me back but didn't. Before finally today, the owner finally called asking for the money (which I just paid), and claiming that he definitely would've picked up if I called FOUR TIMES.

It was super scammy. As if they knew the treatment wouldn't work so intentionally didn't return my calls. I did more research on bed bugs and realized that if anyone tells you bed bugs can be solved with ONE treatment. They're lying. So it's partially my fault. But hope this review will keep others from being scammed their money. I basically just threw away $1100 to these scammers.

They're such a small business that the few good reviews give them a overall good rating on Google but just really wishing someone will see my comment and reconsider treatment with them.

I have been a landlord in greater Seattle area for over 30 years. I personally manage over 25 different rentals/sites and despite being an experienced and responsible landlord, pest issues are a somewhat regular nuisance to deal with. Early in my career, I tried all the commonly known pest companies with mixed results. Starting in roughly 2001, I happened upon Ray with Paratex and have continued to use him for 20 + years.

He has consistently been responsive, knowledgeable and most importantly.has solved a wide variety of different pest problems for me. I have used him many times for: scent or sugar ants, mice and rats, squirrels, termites, powder-post beetles, a fly infestation, and one goofy one.worms repeatedly crawling-up to a front door! I have recommended him many times to friends, business partners and family and will continue to do so. In my humble opinion, there is no better pest inspector/person or company in Seattle.

Paratex is an amazing firm that has come not only to my clients' rescue, but mine as well. John Frost has specifically been my technician, and he is fabulous! He's really helped us work on eliminating our rodent problem and always gives a full report of what's going on and offers tips and tricks to help the process along. I have been a property manager in Seattle for over a decade and have worked with numerous vendors. Very few vendors match the quality of service delivered by Paratex. Lead tech John Frost is extremely knowledgeable, devises effective treatment plans and is very responsive. I would highly recommend Paratex and John to anyone in need of pest control services. I cannot speak highly enough about Paratex and the services they provided. We worked with Ray, and he was incredibly professional, helpful, and kind. Dealing with an infestation is an incredibly stressful ordeal, and they made resolving our issue seamless and easy. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing pest treatment. They also worked us into their schedule during the busy holiday season. We couldn't be more grateful for the help they provided. This is an ethical and professional company that is worth supporting.

Tackling a porch re-model myself, I discovered little bore holes in the subfloor and joists during demo. Scary! I called up Paratex on a Friday afternoon, and after a quick chat, they said that while they couldn't come out until next week, from the photos I sent, it probably wasn't termites. That helped me sleep through the weekend. When Tom came out on Tuesday, he and his apprentice looked at all the wood samples I'd cut out and at the joists, told me it was powder-post beetles and that the infestation was old so I wouldn't need any treatments (though I should make sure to cut out all the wood with bore holes just in case--thankfully, I was almost done with that work anyway).

And then the bill: $0. Really. I wasn't charged a penny because they didn't need to treat anything. Wow! I would've happily paid a couple hundred for the knowledge and advice.

I work for another pest control company that does not offer or have the ability to run recertification courses. Fortunately Paratex does offer this to all their employees and other staff from other companies. Ray has been very professional and they take their business very seriously. It is obvious they take the time to offer their employees proper training and believe in doing the right thing. As someone who has worked in pest control for years, this is a good company I can and would recommend.

I called for some extra help with vermin behind our wood pile, and Stacy was absolutely great! It felt like talking to a nice neighbor or the owner of a local, small town business in that she answered immediately, she listened carefully, and she acted quickly to address my request. It is great, not just, to have a person on the end of the phone, but a person who sounds appreciative of our business and genuinely committed to being of excellent service.

Her supervisor, Becka, was cut from the same, client-oriented cloth, as she, too, was outstanding and personable. Makes me very glad we switched, recently, from a big conglomerate to Tristar.

NOTE: We did not actually hire Paratex for any work so I can't speak to the quality of their service. This review is specifically covering their friendliness, helpfulness, and expertise. We found a dampwood termite in our house, which we freaked out about since we know very little about termites other than that they can ruin structures. I was referred to Paratex by another pest control company and they put my mind at ease.

They were very informative about the ecology of dampwood termites and helped me to understand that they very seldom pose a threat to homeowners. Based on this interaction with them (in which I was charged $0 for their help), I would definitely consider going to them for pest control needs in the future.

I called these guys out for a VERY last minute appointment last year. I found a flying ant infestation around a window just hours before I had to hop on a plane to get to a wedding. The guy who came out was nice and efficient, he laid down gel poison and advised me on how to make sure they don't come back. Super down to earth, honest, and answered all my questions easily. Couldn't ask for more!

We emailed Paratex and Mei promptly arranged with Ray to come by for an inspection this week. Ray was able to come by the day after we reached out which was great. In addition to inspecting our place, he was very educational, giving a breakdown of the Seattle region and what to expect as far as pests go in our area and pointers on simple every day things we can do as preventative measures. If a pest situation ever arises in the future I will definitely reach out to him again.

Prompt, professional, efficient and effective. What more can I say? Ed, Josh, and Steven were all on top of their game. I have used them for mice and ants in both residential and commercial settings. I would definitely recommend.

I don't even know where to start. WE RECEIVED A $200 BILL! It was for a service that wasn't even what we'd asked Paratex to do (at the appointment they never showed up for).

Paratex has been great. Like many areas in Seattle, our neighborhood has ant challenges. We've tried all kinds of things. Terro traps are the best DIY solution we've found. But what's worked best over time - and often the only thing that's worked - is calling Paratex. Both the spraying and the baiting has been essential. Jason, in particular, is fantastic. He's great to work with, he carefully assesses the situation and doesn't over-treat, he's really careful and understanding about pets, vegetable gardens, etc. He's given us a lot of useful advice and helped us get ants out of our house several times. He's also friendly and easy to schedule with. Thank you, Jason!

I have to agree with Alice C. They are all very friendly and accommodating but I've had them come out on a monthly schedule for years -- I hate ants that much and never wanted to see a single one inside. Yet, inevitably like clockwork each spring, the ants return. Lots of them. Since Paratex sprays year round outside of the house supposedly to create a parameter, I don't understand why once or twice a year I have a big ant problem. Granted when Paratex does come and spray indoors to treat the biannual ant-return, they do get rid of the ants for an entire season.

Ed knows what he was talking about. He did a thorough walkthrough & put my mind at ease about any insect infestation. While it turned out that we did not have a problem, I would call them in a heartbeat if we did!

Had a pretty terrible yellow jacket problem in the siding of our house. They've come out 4 times to spray. Understand it was a tricky problem and it's still not 100% delt with as some bee's have managed to actually come into the house but the fact they've come to help us 4 times for the initial $195 dollars shows how honorable they are. They're all nice guys and really easy to work with. I would recommend them.

I was the unlucky one to have a bed bug situation in my apartment and cLled up paratex for an inspection. Mei was very helpful on the phone and asked Ray (the general manager) to come for an inspection. He came the very same day, took a look and gave me a quote then and there. It was a bit pricey for me so he got it down with some adjustments from my side.

He explained me how the process worked and worked patiently with my apartment complex to explain them what he would do and need from their end. I was in constant touch with him till the day of the treatment and he answered all my questions happily. The guys showed up promptly on the day of service and took ALL my stuff for the vikane gas treatment. Ray came once they were towards the end, treated my apartment and informed me about it.

The next day, the guys came again and put my furniture back exactly the way it was. They were super professional and careful and thankfully none of my stuff broke. Its been a month+ and none of the bugs came back. My stuff did come back with dead bugs which I just brushed off. I am happy as jt gave me peace of mind as they assured me 100% bugs will die and I didnot have to do batches of laundry. All other treatments needed 3-4 rounds, were much pricey and that would mean 3-4 rounds of laundry.

I've worked with the Paratex team for a few years on and off. They are always quick to respond, know what they are doing and are very affordable! I can't recommend them any higher!

(I can't really give six stars since they did not actually fumigate) I called Paratex after becoming frustrated with the office staff at Dominion, who kept explaining to me every minute detail of WHY my appointment went missing or was cancelled. Plus they would have made me clear my apartment to put down test strips, then wait an indefinite period of time for evidence.

Within two hours, I met the professional field inspector, Raffy at my place, and he used a flashlight, his eyeballs, experience and LOGIC to figure out what I was dealing with. He explained very well what he was looking for, what he didn't find, and where to go from here. He determined that extermination, in my particular case, is NOT the way to go; that I am dealing with some kind of spiders or mites that I have become allergic to, and what I need to do is to clear out everything and have my carpets cleaned.and to stop feeding birds and squirrels from my fire escape.

He saved me (and my neighbors and their pets) from exposure to unnecessary toxic chemicals, and unlike Dominion, DID NOT CHARGE me for the inspection. Top notch. Thank you Raffy!

Paratex sent Jason out to my home. He was thorough and kind. He worked efficiently to cover the interior and exterior of my home and my barn. He told me exactly what he was doing and what he suggests for success in treating the issues we were facing. He arrived early to the appointment which worked out well since I accidentally wrote him in my calendar an hour earlier.

I will report back on how the many spiders responded to treatment, but I am encouraged by Jason's conscientiousness and attention to detail. Thank you Paratex and Jason!

So, I found a dubious looking insect in my bathroom on the third floor and managed to convince myself it was a termite. Sadly, the only evidence I managed of its existence was two blurry photos. I called up Paratex and was able to schedule a visit a few days later. The lady on the other end of the phone was nice, courteous, and professional. She did a great job of setting the tone for the rest of my experience with this company.

On the day of the appointment, Ray showed up right on time. He patiently listened to me explain the situation and looked over my terrible photography. While he wasn't able to determine what the insect was from the blurry photo, he was able to reassure me that it probably wasn't a termite based on a number of other factors, independent of the photo.

He also gave me some good advice about a few spiders we had seen over the last couple of months. After he had done a short walk about the property looking for other common concerns, I fully expected to pay him for his time and advice. He kindly refused payment, and just asked that if I happen to find the bug again, to try and capture it for him to take a look at next time. Definitely won me over as a future customer.

Excellent, and fast. Were able to come the same day that I found a wasp nest in the attic of my new house.

Seriously.

They are that good. I've used them a few times for a variety of bug problems and they are very reasonable compared to other places. I called Terminix and they wanted to charge me THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS to come out 1 time. For that price they better be personally flying each ant they kill off to the big ol' ant hill in the sky. Paratex also has great customer service and I highly recommend Steve. He's super prompt, very nice, and definitely knows his stuff.
