Times Up Termite Control

Cost seemed fair given the scope of the work, which was fumigation for termites in our deck/walls + ground treatment for subterranean termites. All aspects of the service was friendly and efficient, from scheduling to ground treatment to fumigation to payment. My only complaint is about PG&E, whose window to turn my gas back on after it was shut off for fumigation was 8am to midnight. Really!?!? Recommendation: get extra bags for storing stuff - you probably have more than you realize, and it might be difficult to stuff fully packed bags back into your refrigerator / freezer.

Nothing ill towards the staff or service. I spoke to a gal on a Monday morning who scheduled me for Wednesday inspection. On Wednesday I received a text that the inspection would take place on Thursday. Spoke to a staff member named Amy who stated that the call log showed Thursday appointment, which I adamantly refuted with my own call log, Apple calendar. Regardless I understand that scheduling/human errors occur, but no accommodation was made. Cancelled my appointment and going with another company.

We've had several positive experiences with Times Up Termite. Last year we needed to paint the exterior of our house. The first contractor that looked at our house indicated that we had some rotten wood boards that needed replacing. I called Times Up for a second opinion. They carefully tested the boards and concluded that no replacements were needed.

You can trust these people for an honest assessment of what's needed. They don't perform unnecessary work to make more money. Recently we had to have our house fumigated for termites. We contacted Times Up Termite. They got the job done on time and budget, and did a great job of coordinating with PG&E for the utility shut off and restart.

We were out of our house for the minimum amount of time. This type of fumigation requires packing all food items in plastic bags. We did our best but missed a few items. The crew from Times Up gathered up the missing items and bagged them for us. They went above and beyond. I recommend them and would work with them again.

Critical: Professionalism No follow through from the staff, wasted our time. Not recommended at all.

I got a same day appointment and they checked out the area for free and told me what I was seeing was not in fact termites. Great service. Very knowledgeable. Very informative. Needless to say I will be calling again the next time I suspect trouble.

I usually look for smaller companies especially for something like a termite inspection for a 100 year old house. Less bureaucracy often feels like more truth telling, more simple. I called, Mike answered the phone right away and he was knowledgeable. Somehow they had an opening for the next day in Oakland. Nick came out, was through, delightful and informative. I recommend this company. Fortunately we did not have to do any termite work but they will come out in the Spring to check again. Thank you Times Up

It is almost next to impossible to find a company that is respectful honest and actually communicates answer their calls and responds to emails. I know of one other company and Times Up Termite is the second one. I thank them for their patience, putting me at ease and their honesty. Every other contractor that I have worked with on my property has given me absurd estimates. Thank you for being a great local business.

We have used them for a few years now and feel they are trustworthy unlike a few I have used in the past! I also trust their construction arm who had to access behind my deck- very thorough!

Most thorough inspection I've ever had. I had no recent termite damage but Edger was prompt, friendly, and a great teacher. He went above and beyond by telling me where he found fungus, signs of beetles, and pointing out wood that should be removed. He showed me signs of old termite damage and how to look for more recent signs. This company really cares about customer service.

The inspector was rushed and wanted to charge if he checked the attic. It took a total of 30 minutes and I was told it needed to be tented and I definitely had terminated. I was not impressed.

Awesome, we needed an opinion on some wood damage to our hardwood flooring. In less than 48 hours Nick was in our home giving us his professional opinion and ideas on a solution! I was suspecting some termites being present so I called them and set an appointment for them to come out and take a look. Turn out it wasn't termites but just some other bugs that come and go. Appreciate the report they provide as well and what's even more amazing is how they don't charge if they don't exterminate. Wow! I'm impressed and this is what I called above and beyond customer service.

Times -Up is one of the best pest inspection companies. As a real estate agent, I want the appointment made immediately once entering a transaction. And even more importantly, Edgar arrived even before I did (and I'm always early) and delivered the inspection report by noon the following day. I will continue to use their service for my client's well being!

I contacted Times Up when a competing pest control company told me I needed over $1000 in treatment for an area that looked like termites had been there at some point, but I suspected the termites were long gone. Nick came out and did a very through inspection. He asked lots of questions and even asked to see the pest report that was done when we bought our home 4 years ago (completed by said competing pest company).

He concluded that the treatments done back then probably exterminated all termites and told me no further treatment was needed, and gave me some good advice on prevention and early detection. His inspection was free of charge while the other company charged me $85 for an inspection that was not nearly as thorough. I will be using Times Up from now on!

Woohoo! This company is as good as it gets! Seriously! I had to have the dreaded tent fumigation. EEK! Not fun. In fact, it's a pretty stressful experience. But it's so much easier when you use a company like Times Up. I must've emailed Mike in the office a thousand times about everything, but each time, he was so helpful, courteous & got back to me in record time!

The customer service this company gives you is so rare these days! I felt spoiled! Every single person from Times Up that I have interacted with: from Mike in the office, to Nick the inspector, to Moises & his tent crew. have been incredibly friendly, helpful, & professional! We have used Times Up Termite for the last 26 years and have always been impressed with their prices, service and guarantees. They are an excellent company. Rudi the owner is wonderful. We first called them when we were selling our home in Hayward. The buyers inspector found extensive termite damage that we never knew existed (we had never had the home checked in 7 years). Times Up Termite fixed the problem immediately and was very competitive and the work was perfect!

I gave them this high rating for what they didn't do. They came to inspect an infested tree stump I figured I would have to pay to get treated. But Nick arrived on time and said just leave it. He checked our house and said it was fine. He said he wouldn't spend the $500 to have it treated. He complimented our house and was so nice. Totally surprised. So this would be a firm I would encourage anyone to use.

We had Times Up repair some termite damage on a house we bought in Fremont. This picture is how they left the house - completely exposed during rainy season. To compound matters they failed to tell anyone they were leaving it in this state, so we got water and mold damage. (And at the time we had a 3 year old and my wife was almost due with our 2nd - this became a pretty serious health hazard for my family quickly.) When we pursued a remedy with them, they completely hid behind their contract language, changed their story several times about who they spoke with and what work was agreed upon.

Maybe others have had a better experience, but I'd be VERY cautious giving these folks any business. I found them to be completely lacking integrity and doing everything within their power to blame anyone and everyone rather than just admit their mistake.
