Robert May Termite & Pest Management is above all others in professionalism, customer service, and scheduling. The techs are always friendly & polite. The gals in the office are professional. We love having quarterly service that we don't have to manage. The staff is always timely in calling to schedule our service. This is a five star company! They always schedule my service around my work hours.
The technicians are very thorough and knowledgeable regarding all mountain pests. Over the years, I've used many top name pest services, but this company goes above and beyond any service out there.

Services
Robert May is the owner and operator, and has been a mountain resident for over 30 years. He began his career with a local pest control company, and worked his way up to managing a crew of technicians. In 2005, he started his own pest management company. With 16 years experience in the industry, he is an expert in his field of pest control, and specializes in wildlife and rodent solutions.
A service program is a regular scheduled maintenance treatment to eliminate present pests and prevent them in the future. Whether you are a full/part-time resident, you can decide how often you want your home treated, or our trained technicians can happily recommend the best service plan for you. We provide effective chemical and non-chemical treatment options with innovative and up-to-date methods, as well as professional repairs for damage caused by these pests, so you get the most efficient service with the high-quality work that you can count on, satisfaction guaranteed.
Your home is a valuable investment that you want to protect. Termites and other wood destroying organisms (WDO's) can jeopardize your home's structural integrity and cause damage that will require costly repairs. A Termite Inspection, or Wood Destroying Pests and Organisms Inspection is recommended every 1-2 years, and includes a report that will note termites or wood destroying pests, and also the conditions that can lead to wood destroying pest issues.Eliminate and protect your home from fungus, wood rot, termite damage, wood destroying beetles & ants, and other conditions that contribute to these pests and their damage!
I have been a customer of Robert May Termite & Pest Management since its beginning. I've been very impressed with the thoroughness of his work. He has a vast knowledge of the pesticides he uses and knows the best methods for treating each problem. His technicians know their pesticides and can answer any question about their toxicity, etc. Scheduling is easy and they are flexible!

Robert and Brittany are great people, as is Henry that also works there. Brittany always knows who you are when you call. It's nice to deal with a family run business rather than a corporation. We've used them for quarterly service for carpenter ants. Don't see them(ants) anymore. Services: Ant extermination, Rodent extermination

We had what we thought were termites, as evidenced by quickly growing piles of sawdust underneath some areas of our vaulted T&G wood ceiling (pic shown). Eventually realized we had lines of ants coming in from nearby trees, via the telephone and cable lines. This company was quickest to respond and recommended outdoor ONLY spraying for pine tree ant remediation.
We have lived up here for 30+ years and never heard of the specification of "pine tree" ants. Technician adhered to current COVID-19 safety measures (no indoor work/contact). Work was guaranteed by a 90 day warranty. We saw an immediate cessation of destruction of wood ceiling and further evidence of effectivity by dead ants dropping out from the 18' high ceiling two days later. (We placed plastic sheeting underneath for easy clean-up once we realized this was happening.) Not quite pleasant but reassuring that the outside spraying was in fact effective.

After three separate visits and only two months later, I still have an ant problem. For the price that I paid, this product should have lasted at least 9 months to a year. I shouldn't have to follow up a professional visit with my own raid and other products. -1 Star for frustrated and disappointed.

We are so happy to have found Robert! We needed help with our gophers, and had used an expensive monthly service in the past. When we called May, they were so friendly and prompt. Robert knows his stuff - he is extremely knowledgeable, straight forward and as we soon found out, worth every penny. Within a week, our gophers were gone! Since then, we called on him again to help us out with a mouse problem.
Year round, we always battle a mouse or two, and in the winter, it gets even worse. He walked our house and figured out that it was our build up that needed to be sealed. It seems obvious now, but in 15 years living here, we never realized that the mice had the run of our build up and were coming up into the house from there - yuck! This winter was our FIRST ever with ZERO mice! Such a relief, thanks Robert! We have your business on speed dial now!

I was so pleased when we hired May Robert as our pest control because they informed me they handle rodent problems. We've been with them for two years and there's no question they've taken care of insect problems, but when we encountered a mouse problem this year, they charged us $75 for an extra visit, then worked up an estimate of $400 for house repairs to keep the mice out, then just handed us several mouse traps and left. That's not what I call "taking care of" rodent problems. We were disappointed enough to find another service.

Robert just went by our cabin to conduct an inspection for subterranean termites (our escrow documentation mentioned they might be present) and to look into our "ninja" mouse. Now, the termite inspection is straight forward, but it is the ninja mouse that makes things interesting and speaks to Robert's knowledge and experience. Background: when we bought the cabin there were quite a few mouse turds and we wound up finding a dead mouse and an entrance hole.
We plugged the hole and have not had any issues since then. Ninja mouse: the last two or three visits to the cabin, I found mouse turds on our futon (where the back meets the front). I cleaned up the turds the first time thinking they were maybe old pieces of shingling or something (we first noticed a bunch of things like that when our roof was redone).
The second time we went and found the little turd-looking pieces, I collected them in a bag to show to an exterminator, if needed, and bought traps (which I never set out). The third time we found the turds, we were just baffled. The reason we call it the ninja mouse is because it only likes to poop on our futon. Like with the original dead mouse, usually you will find more turds along the perimeter of a room or *somewhere* else. but no.
So we called Robert, and it all began to make sense. Our ninja mouse is. a bat! That is why we only found the poop in one place (below where he was roosting). Robert was able to look at the location of the turds, the turds I had collected, and the area where the bat is likely roosting and confirm who our culprit was and recommend installing exclusionary devices to let them out through the access points he found but not let them back in.
Although I love bats, they don't belong inside, so we will be moving forward with using Robert May for the exclusion of our "ninja mouse/bat". Without Robert, we would have been setting out a lot of pointless rodent traps, lol!

These guys are true pros! Enough said. Outstanding service from the office to the service guys sent to my home in lake arrowhead. I had a bad ant problem and mice too, which they promptly took care of the issues and wiped out the pests and have now been pest free all summer. I highly recommend them. One of these things you hope to never have to call someone for but glad to know they are available.

I moved into a new home which had a bad ant infestation shortly after. I called to have an estimate done and made an appointment for them to come back and have the issue taken care of. Traps were set inside and all of the surrounding trees and bottom of the house were sprayed. I was told to give them a call in 1-2 weeks (to allow the treatment to work) and if there were still ants they would come back free of charge to set out more traps/spray a different area, whatever the case may have been.
I definitely appreciated this information. The treatment has worked quickly. Unfortunately new trails began inside the home and they came out with no hesitation or problems to lay down more traps for me. This has solved the new trails (which occurred due to weather). thank you for helping and getting rid of my ant problem in a timely manner with a very pleasant attitude from the first phone call to the last visit.

Called up with a lil' pine tree ant problem that were having a field day in our cabin's ceiling. Called up and Robert showed up within hours with a straightforward estimate. He provided a quick recommendation and was able to come up the following day prior to us heading down the mountain to complete the service. He seemed knowledgable and honest and if the need arises, which I hope will not happen, we will definitely call again. I will provide a follow up review in a couple weeks to see if our pests are gone for the season.
