Call Chilton's today for an inspection. Pests compromise the structural integrity homes, and some are known to cause and spread a handful of diseases. Some are even poisonous. Knowing what these pests are is important to avoid possible dangers. Chilton's Environmental offers comprehensive pest management services for most common household pests.

Missouri termites are mostly subterranean, and are hard to detect unless you know exactly what you are looking for. The termites are most always in the ground below grade, in the wood, or traveling through shelter or mud tubes. Treating a home with termicides as a preventative measure is not allowed for environmental reasons. The only alternatives home owners have is regular inspections or underground bait stations placed around the perimeter of the house.
Ants may be used as symbols for unity and hard work, but ants are also considered pests in areas that are supposed to be clean and sterile- like in kitchens. Unfortunately, the kitchen is where the food is, and ants are strongly drawn to it. Despite common misconception that ants prefer sweet food, they also go for protein, fats, even vegetables.
Bedbugs (Cimex lecturalis) are known to infest homes for more than a thousand years. Although they have been thought to be completely eradicated from the United States and other developed countries, there's resurgence of cases in many states and cities. These parasites are always evolving and become resistant to pesticides overtime.

George takes care of our rental homes and does the best job! I just had him inspect a house and he had every opportunity to over quote me and recharge me for unnecessary services. Instead, he did the ethical thing and gave me advice. I respect his integrity and will continue to use Chilton's for all our pest problems! Service: Termite extermination

I was scheduled for our technician, Terando, to come out around 2-4 for our regular quarterly service on a Friday. My husband works from home so I told the scheduler to have him call my husbands phone when he was on his way. My husband was on a confrence call when our technician called so he left a voicemail stating he was on his way and will be at our house within 15-20 minutes.
A few minutes after missing the call, my husband calls back but does not receive an answer so he left a voicemail on Terando's phone apologizing for missing the call but to call back or let him know we were home and to come on out to the house. I was home at this point, my husband and I both waited for him to show up but he never did. At 4:55 I called the office to see what happened, the staff was clueless and put me on hold after they said they would check his paperwork.
They then told me according to his paperwork he called but no answer, and knocked but no answer. My husband and I were both home when this technician called to say he was on his way but he NEVER SHOWED UP. This technician is also our regular and does poor work. This is not the first time we have had to reschedule with this gentleman and will be looking for service elsewhere. Chilton's does not care about their customers and content with lying to their customers along with not servicing them, or not servicing them on time.
Do not use Chilton's because their technicians do not care about taking care of their customers who pay good money for regular pest control services. If I could give them a zero rating I would!

5/22/20- We move in to our new house that we bought, which came with a warranty through Chiltons for termites. A few days later I call Chiltons to try and understand the warranty and what all is involved, what I need to do, etc. The front desk lady tells me she thinks it covers a yearly inspection and if termites are found, the treatment would be covered.
She then adds, "Oh and if you would like us to come out quarterly, we could do that as well." I think that sounds great, and assuming that is included with the warranty, I agree to that. 8/7/20- Chiltons comes out to the house and gives me an invoice that says $95 and termites were found. I am confused but think it's covered in warranty (turns out I did have to pay and assume I paid for the new bait trap). 11/4/20- They come out to the house again and give me another one of those invoices with $95 that says "no termites found." At this point I realize that I wasn't charged for the bait trap last time, but just for them to come out and check them.
They NEVER told me that I was going to be charged for this. I figure there was some miscommunication and I would call them later to cancel them coming out every quarter and clear things up. 11/13/20- I finally get around to calling them to cancel. I call at 2:57pm kindly telling the man of the situation and asking to cancel the quarterly as I wasn't told it would be $95.
He asks if he can call me back. At 3pm he calls me and I tell him I do not want to pay $95 every quarter and want to cancel. He tries talking me out of it and then tells me to write an email to himself and the owner instead. I email telling them the whole situation a third time and ask for a refund of the two $95 visits. I also ask for what all is involved with the warranty as I still have not been informed what it entails.
The owner calls me at 3:26pm to tell me that they will not give me a refund. She is rude and threatens that another company will not take over the termite job done on my house without me paying tons of money so I'll be in a bad position if I leave them. This is absolutely not true, by the way. Once again I tell her that I want to cancel. I hang up.
At 4:07pm the man calls me and talks almost nonstop. I stop him after 7 minutes because all I have wanted to do this whole time is cancel. He gets mad that I interrupted him and says, "Well, if you would just let me talk!" All I have done is listen to them talk! I have not once been apologized to for the complete lack of communication, I still have not been told the terms of the warranty, I have been rudely talked to and they still haven't canceled like I asked over an HOUR ago.
I tell him I want the service cancelled. He tells me that the warranty will be void if I cancel the quarterly. Which is the first I have heard of this! He says the warranty includes me paying $95 every quarter or is void. I no longer want anything to do with this company. I tell him to cancel the quarterly and cancel the warranty. At 4:40pm I get another email.
They state that the warranty (which the previous owner put into effect) includes a quarterly bait check and an annual renewal. Once again, no prices are mentioned. If the quarterly bait check is $95 which isn't mentioned, then how much is the annual renewal? It is not stated. I also have never seen the warranty, have never signed anything into my name and have never agreed to pay anything. 11/14/20- I email them stating that I do not want anybody from their company coming to my house any more, that I want to cancel (how many times have I said this?) and that I would like an email confirmation of the cancellation. 11/16/20- They do not reply to email.
I also notice on my invoice for my $95 quarterly check that it says in the bottom, "Agreement for One Year." I NEVER agreed to one year, never signed anything that said I would do quarterly checks for one year and was never told that. Which, again, lines up with what others have stated in other reviews about this company's tactics. By the way, they STILL haven't told me they have cancelled.

I was hesitant about posting anything after our service today, but felt this needs to be said. A few years ago we had Chilton's spray for sweet ants. Cost then for a 1 time service was $165. They did a great job & ants didn't return for several years. But the ants returned this year & we called for another service. Cost was amazingly more, $275. Appointment set for 8 - 8:30 am, and the tech would call before arrival.
At 9:00 we called their office and asked where the Tech was, they said he would arrive between 9 and 12. At 1 o'clock, no tech so I started calling for other pest control companies. The Chilton Tech finally called us around 2:00 p.m. Said he would arrive in about 20 minutes, I told him about what time he was supposed to be here and about the competitors prices, he said he had had no communication with his front office nor did he know he was supposed to be at our house by 8:30.
The Tech was very nice, and apologized for his front office, however it was a Sloppy job. Spray was all over our floors, in multiple places that we had to clean up. We will not use this company again. By the way BugZero does the same service for $179. Unfortunately for us, it would have another 2 weeks before they could have serviced our home. That is the only reason we stayed with Chilton's this round.
Never again! ***On 6/24/20 I called the owner, George advising the ants were still here & informed him of the sloppy job the Tech did. The owner said he would address our issues with his staff & would be returning a call to us today to set up a date/time to reapply the pest control. The owner apologized and said he would make this right.

New to Nixa. Jan 2020. We called Chiltons to schedule a treatment due to ants in one area of the house. But we were interested in a full ongoing treatment of immediate yard area and complete house. They treated and put out these bug motel traps which i hate. They are nasty looking and are in the way of my water moping. That makes not common sense. do they expect customers to not mop or move them to mop and put them back? EEEw!
I still saw Ants, i actually sprayed ants myself and kept the area wiped till the ants were gone. I also see spiders and see bugs around my door frame. i have had an ant problem on my back walk out deck and in a small planter on my deck. it should not be this bad with the drought and a exterminator. They are not working for us!

I am a real estate agent and I had a home seller that needed to take care of some fungal growth in a crawlspace. George responded immediately and came to the house to do an inspection. This company is knowledgable and friendly! The work was completed immediately and at a great price! I will definitely be using Chiltons again and recommend them to anyone needing any of the services they provide!

The first visit with them was great, and I had one more routine visit with them. That treatment pushed all the outside ants into my garage, I called and had them come out to retreat within my 90 day warranty. At that visit the technician knocked on my front door where I met him in the front porch, I came back inside and closed my door, he took less. than 5 min outside, then from inside my bedroom I hear the front screen door and front door open, I walk out and the technician is letting himself INTO my home and closing the door behind him! I was home alone with two large dogs, thank goodness they didn't bite him but I ran up to them first and grabbed their collars. He gave me my invoice and I.

CONSUMER BE AWARE On 8-16-19 George Travers came to our home to assess a roach problem we wanted to have adressed. Upon the assessment we were told we had a mild roach infestation and that it would require setting bait traps in affected areas and having interior and exterior spray of the house done to create a barrier for undesired pests to enter our home.
Our total invoice for this service was $350 and we were told that the problem would be resolved in 3 weeks. On 8-23-19 The service technician arrived to my home unannounced even though we requested to have them call first due to busy work life schedule. I received a phone call from him that morning while I was at work saying that he was at my home and needed a way in. Luckily one of my doors was unlocked for him to enter, however it would have been nice to actually be there upon letting a stranger in that you have never met into your home unannounced.
When I spoke with him on the phone he was completely clueless as to what and where he was supposed to be treating. Why wasn't this information in the tech notes? A week after our home was treated we still had seen no improvements ( I understand roaches are difficult to eliminate but I figured I'd at least see a few dead roaches or even a very slight decrease ) so we called chiltons to have our home treated again.
Today is 9-13-19 3 weeks since the first application and we have seen ZERO improvement. As a matter of fact I've been speaking with the staff at chiltons about my frustrations and that I just want a refund because their product is eneffective and or their service tech is incompetent and I was told that I would not receive a refund because it could take up to 2 months according to Stella the manger to have the roaches completely gone and that they would be happy to come out a third time to try to fix the problem.
I told Stella we have already been displaced from our home for 3 weeks with results unresolved and our issue about the expectations set by George telling us that we wouldn't have roaches after 3 weeks and the service tech who had no clue what was going on in the first place and she still told us there will be no refund. I understand that they want to "try" and do right and fix the problem but who would want them to come out a third time after dealing with uninformed service techs and staff that lies about the time frame of their service.
It's a matter of trust as to why to do not want this company to step foot on our property. I think it's very unprofessional and shady that a company who try's to pride themselves on excellence can't admit their faults and refund me the money. George did call me yesterday to try to smooth things over but could only offer me giving them another shot.
Again the prior experiences I've shared are the reasons why I don't believe they deserve another try. I've never given time to write any kind of review but this is absolutely a consumer-be aware business so I thought others should know. I also think it's interesting that some of the staff of this company is writing and giving 5 star reviews via google on their own page. Anyways, thanks for the waste of time, and it sounds like you frauds need the money more than I do. -Travis

Such a great company! Locally and family owned, the employees have a vast knowledge of nearly every aspect of pest control. If you have any conceivable question they will have an answer or explanation for you. They're also very knowledgeable on the chemicals they use, and address all your concerns about what's being used in and around your home. I highly recommend Chilton's for any pest issues! 5 stars!

I had Chilton's come spray my studio and I haven't seen a creepy crawlies since! It was raining the day they came to spray the interior, so they came back a few days later to spray the exterior to really protect the office. It was easy to schedule with them, and the man that came was very professional and easy to talk to. I would recommend them to anyone!
