Protex Service

We've had excellent luck with this company over the years, until a tech named Mike Ash started servicing our house. Here's what happened since he started coming: 1. Our internet went out just as he was completing his first visit, because he sprayed the fiberoptic junction box. Apparently, he was never trained to not do this. 2. Mike is in and out of our house less than 20 minutes after arriving, after he allegedly treats the inside and outside of our house, including 5 minutes to write up our invoice.

No other tech ever sent by this company has ever been done in less than 45 minutes. 3. Mike ignores special requests, like "please open up the closet in the kitchen to spray around the hot water heater." If I ask him about it after he's left the room. 4. When I asked Mike what he found after today's visit, he said "nothing." Nothing, inside or out?

I probed. Nothing, he repeated. I'm pretty sure he sprays as fast as he can, not looking carefully at anything, based on both our experiences with him so far. 5. After I asked Mike to not spray the junction box that kills our internet today, he told me about all the other security systems and water heaters he has disabled through his careless work for other customers while working for this company. Apparently, he has learned very little from his experiences in this regard over the years.

If you use this company, I urge you to request anybody except Mike Ash to take care of your job. If we use Protex again, we will certainly do the same. David Dowsey by far exceed my expectations. Protex was the first ones I called for an estimate for termites. I had several locations around the home with mud tubes. David gave me his estimate with the linear feet he would cover, how many gallons of product he would use, the product we were going to use, gave me a folder with all the information and was completely transparent about it.

I read through it and called two other people to come quote me. The other two people quoted me between $1,000-$800 higher than he did with inflated prices and the gallons they were going to use did not match the termidor information David had given me. Immediately I called them out. Called Protex the next day and had the service scheduled. They were busy so my service was about a week and a half after my initial estimate. David was kind enough to stop by on the weekend to treat the area where they were predominantly visible.

I thought both David and Brian did a genuine and upfront honest job specially in this market. Highly recommend Protex and to request David to come out. He's a very nice man he likes to inform his customers about everything. I will definitely be calling them next time and requesting David. Best price and best service. David also pointed out the house had treatment before which makes it easier for them to drill the holes on the concrete. Typically this is the toughest part when it is the first time. David educated me heavily on termites and on the product he was going to use.

Not a nameless/faceless nationwide brand ~ these guys are local, they grew up here and care for their customers! Love Love Love this company! Started with Protex 6 years ago when we were having critters invading our attic as construction went on around us. Butch came out and shored up the house and we had no problems for 5 years. After the tornado we needed them again. Robin got us scheduled right away and Butch and his protege Brian came out and got us back on track!

Our dog got out while Brian was here and he jumped in his truck, went down the street and got our doggie to jump in his truck so he could bring him home! Not every company cares as much as this one does. Would give them 10 stars if I could. Thanks guys!

I have been using Protex Pest Control ever since purchasing our home last year. Butch has been amazing and diligent to get our rat and pest issues under control. He is also very positive and professional when at our house. Finally, the folks answering the phone are always willing to help get an appointment as fast as they can.

Gary (our tech) and the folks at Protex have been a pleasure to work with. I called at least four different pest control companies and none were as friendly or priced competitively. Gary went out of his way to make sure our house was pest proof, going as far as putting duct tape on potential entry points under our sinks. I will be using Protex for all of my future pest control needs. Thanks y'all!

I was having a "house ant" problem and Protex was able to come out and spray my whole house from the inside and outside. I swear to you that I haven't seen an ant and it's only been about 3 days. I will definitely use them yearly just as preventative thing.

Protex quickly responded to my call for help, sent a professional (Butch) who was courteous, friendly, and honest. As a result we received good advice which we are following. It is good to feel a professional advises and truly care about being fair. I will definitely use their services again if I need to.

The technician came out really quickly after my call. He was nice and patiently and thoroughly did his job asking along the way if I wanted other areas treated as long as he was there which I took him up on at no additional cost. My pest problem was taken care of in one treatment though I could have called them in 2 weeks if I saw more and they would have done a follow up spraying.

Their price was very reasonable and, unlike the first company I contacted, they didn't require me to sign up for periodic treatments to simply kill or evict some ants. It's been months now and the bugs are gone.

Found this place because of its' rave reviews and figured I'd pay it forward by sharing mine! This place has everything you'd want in a pest control service- professionalism, punctuality, and experience. I called this morning at 10am and they had someone out here by noon! Cory was our tech and he was awesome. Very quick yet thorough. I'd definitely recommend Protex to anyone needing extermination services!

Great service and such nice people! I had an emergency situation with bees entering my home from the recessed lighting. Turns out there was a swarm trying to set up a nest in my gutter and getting into the attic. I called them in a panic and the women who answered the phone could not have been nicer. The techs were all at lunch she said but she got in touch with them and called me back right away.

Before I knew it, Corry was at my door coming to the rescue! He took care of all the bees inside and outside and even checked in a few hours later to make sure there weren't anymore in my home. Greatly appreciate them and would highly recommend them as well!

I've been using a different service in my homes for the last 20 years. Unfortunately they took my business for granted for just about all 20 years. I recently switched to Protex Service and that proved to be a wise decision! Not only is the pricing better, but our technician, Gary, is very professional, punctual, and courteous. He went above and beyond to find areas to seal in our plumbing where we had gaps that the critters could get through.

For the first time in months I didn't have my wife standing on the kitchen island asking me to kill a cockroach b/c Gary finally stopped them from getting into the house in the first place! Highly recommend Protex Service!

Overall a great experience. The appointment process was very enjoyable. The tech was early which was very refreshing. He was a true professional and answered our questions and was very through in treating our home. The price was reasonable and we were assured that if we saw any bugs to call them back since we had a 90 day warranty. I will recommend them to any one who will listen.

Butch came out within a few hours of me calling and sprayed my condo as a preventative measure. He has come out once before this for a different unit and was lovely both times! I highly recommend Protex and will use them again!

I called Protex after seeing several great reviews and they did NOT dissapoint! We were having a problem with some kind of "fly's" in our house. When the worker (can't remember his name) came to my house, he informed me that they were some kind of ant and that the problem will resolve itself on its own. He said it usually takes a few days.

He said that he could spray but that it wouldn't make any difference. Ants like this can come once a year and that treatment won't make a difference and they should be gone in a few days. He did't charge me for coming out to look. I appreciate his honesty and would highly recommend to any one who has a pest problem.

I had previously had some rodent issues that was not resolved by Protex. Protex contacted me, immediately scheduled a time to come back to my house, and took care of everything. I also had an unresolved ant issue that another pest control company was able to take care of, so Protex issued a full refund. I was extremely impressed by their willingness to work until my pest and rodent issues were resolved.

I was referred to Protex from our realtor. We are leasing a home and on move in day we noticed a awful smell. Protex response was quick and they solved the problem at a affordable price. Called when we had a dead rat smell in our showroom and "poof" now its gone. Michael (our exterminator) was great and very knowledgeable. if you need the job done right, call these guys.

I hired them last year for our rental property & they did a great job. got rid of the bugs & even re-sprayed during the warranty. This year I hired them for my house & the rental and they called 30 minutes before appointments & were on time for both. Easy to work with, efficient!

Changing my rating from a 4 to a 5. Only because I called out a different service after the flea problem came back after 3mos. This service has 35 yelp reviews and 4 stars. Anyway, they charged 2x as much as Protex, and their spraying hardly changed a thing with the fleas. So we called Protex back out. And on their 2nd spray, the problem completely subsided.

So I guess I realized that even tho I needed them to come out twice, they're are half the cost of the competition and their spraying worked significantly better. And I won't hesitate to use them again. so I'll give that 5 stars.

Thought I had carpenter ants and their man came out and said no and didn't charge me anything for looking. Wood seems fine so no treatment needed. Totally recommend this company.

Protex Service did an outstanding job for us last year when we lived with the nightmare of bedbugs. There is so much information on the internet on how to get rid of these nasty bugs that it is hard to know which treatment will work best. We just wanted the nightmare to end. We found Protex Services on the "Bedbug Central" website. We checked with the referrals they provided.

Their previous customers, with bed bugs, were all highly satisfied with the work they received. We had done enough research to know that one treatment was not enough. Many companies will tell you that one treatment is enough. It isn't. Protex Service's guarantee provided this reassurance. They had to come to our home four times last spring, all covered under contract. We have waited one year to write a review because we wanted to make sure the nightmare was over. It is. We highly recommend this company.

Very professional, courteous, upfront and honest, and they are great terminators. They worked around my schedule, showed up on time, and smashed the hell out of the intruders. They murdered them! In a good way. They sent them to bug heaven! In a merciful manner. They nuked the crap out of their lairs! But gave them proper funerals. I believe my guys name was Duke, and he was sincere and funny, and didn't pussyfoot around. Will definitely call them again if needed. Thanks fellas.

I live by white Rock Lake in Dallas. I called them and found them to be a friendly, punctual, Professional service and fairly priced. They are now my go to exterminator company and I recommend highly.

Very good business to deal with. Called almost a month ago. Told them concerns I have for the property. They did a thorough assessment suggested options and told me if there is an issue later of the treatments performed, they will return treat again. So far everything is alright. I like that office & technicians communicate well with me. Accommodating within reason.

I have done business with this company for over ten years. They are the best of the best-they just don't send techs out to spray. They know what they are doing, and they stand behind their work. I can't imagine using another company. I was in a situation where there were multiple service calls for one issue, and they treated the areas until the rodents were removed. And after they did, no new problems. Don't bother on trying the cheapest service-in the long run it pays to have the people with the most experience.

It's hard to find a good critter/bug control company. One that calls every 4 months like they say they will. One that doesn't make you wait around all day. One that has a no kill policy for the bigger critters. One that has specials if you sign their 1 year agreement. But you know what? Protex has ALL those. Sold. After being totally ignored by our previous exterminators, I came across Protex online and was like "well hell.lets give this a go".

When I called to find out a little more about them, not only was the guy so nice, but he told me all about the company, what they specialize in and their rates right up front. No surprises or anything. I scheduled an appointment and the guy showed up right on time. Me likey. Since then they have come out twice. Each time THEY CALL US to schedule, not the other way around.

Quick in and out (TWSS). He inspects the attic, under our house and sprays everywhere. Sign the form and go. The only thing I have to do is put up the dog, which he hates. He just wants to lick the guys eyeballs out. Normal. Since our house is so old, we get lots of icky bugs at the start of each season, they nuke 'em quick and dirty, mmmhmm. Overall, very impressed. YAY! I'm glad I don't have to worry about it anymore, I totally have faith in Protex. Rock on.
