Derrick is the man! We have ants every summer and usually we have to have our house treated several times. We had one service already and ants were still showing up.until Derrick treated our property. He came the day before my daughter's first bday party, told us it might take up to 21 days for the ants to be completely gone.but we haven't seen ANY since the day of her party! He found the nests, treated the property, and gave us some helpful tips for the future to avoid the ants. He went above and beyond and we are so thankful!

DO NOT set up autopay with this company. I'm still being billed after ending my contract with them months ago! I've contacted them several times about this over the past 5 months. I'm also still waiting to be refunded for their most recent charge 2 months ago!

David Shafer knows his stuff! It is refreshing to do business with people that you feel you can trust 100%. He treats his work as if it was being done on his own home! We have used them for years for pest control and have a de-humidifier that they installed for us. Service: General pest inspection

Can you imagine calling multiples times in attempt to request for a refund that got deducted for a service that was cancelled last yr. Can you imagine trying to reach out or to speak to the right person that handles this for almost 3 weeks, and still I havent receive a call from the manager or whoever I was told that deals with this? And everytime I call I get the same message- "pls call back later.

Our manager is out of the office". Thats the message I receive over and over and over and over and over again. I have used this company since 2016 and I had some or few complaints in the past that were corrected. But this time. These numerous calls and email that Ive been making to discuss a single matter? yeah the wait is PHENOMENAL.

We have a rental property in Norfolk, and UPC is always available to help with our pest control issues. I was willing to give a local company a try. Very disappointed! Salesperson was "shady" (but I gave him the benefit of the doubt). Customer service was "horrible". Did not keep 3 scheduled appointments BUT installments very taken out on time EACH MONTH! Did NOT return calls or voicemails when I tried to find out where the exterminators were for my scheduled appointments.

Once I got in touch with the company, asked what happened to the exterminator & my appointment, the response was, "I don't know." When I called to cancel my (lack of ) service, the agent was happy to cancel & did not attempt to retain my business. Please DO NOT use THIS company!

Awesome staff & dog friendly company! Andrew Normand was amazing! Andrew was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He was also extremely polite and considerate. My two massive dogs were very curious which didn't bother Andrew all. He made sure I knew what was being used and what was dog and human friendly vs what was not! Universal Pest was recommended to me, and I'm so glad we decided to use them. Dave Loop has been out to my house twice now and has done a great job. He's professional, thorough, and knowledgeable, and he always answers my questions. He communicates exactly what he's doing, and listens to any concerns we have. Dave is the man!

After 3 years of bad experiences with Universal Pest, we could no longer tolerate the unprofessionalism, poor recordkeeping and unacceptable business practices. Save yourself some headache and look elsewhere. Definitely do NOT recommend.

Called universal to have some work done to my home. Shannon in the office was very helpful and had me set up with a appointment the next day. The inspector showed up on time and was very knowledgeable. Work was completed ontime and at a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend this company.

I strongly recommend Universal Pest & Termite for Moisture and Termite Inspections. Andrew Normand and his team always go above and beyond to thoroughly inspect and provide treatments. As a realtor, I strongly recommend them when I am representing both sellers and buyers-- I even used him as the inspector on my own home. They understand the strain of a real estate transaction but never let that affect their inspection standards. Andrew, is always available to answer any questions I may have and has saved several transactions from falling apart.

He makes my clients feel at ease even when he finds evidence of termites. He knows the process of a real estate transaction and is always a professional. I can always count on them to answer my questions and concerns. I also keep their quarterly pest treatment on my personal home because of their service on the inspection side.

My house flooded out last year. Due to the moisture in the house, I developed an issue with all sorts of pests. I found Universal and was impressed by the reviews. I gave them a try, not really expecting much (bad experience with the last company I had years ago). Dave is my tech who has now been out to the house three times. After two months, my house is virtually bug free.

A couple of weeks ago, I discovered I now have a rodent in my attic. Dave was out here this weekend, getting traps baited. I am truly impressed with how thorough Daves is, how efficient and how professional he is. I was truly embarrassed my house had a bug issue, and he was not condescending at all. He mentioned this area is prone to bugs because of the swamps. I am grateful for his attitude towards it. And to his credit, the problem is virtually gone!

Beware of Universal Pest & Termites' under house dehumidifiers. I got suspicious when my maintenance bill went from $130.00 a year to $275.00 a year. They didn't give me a good reason for the increase. I called th pest control company I used at my previous residence. they found the dehumidifier wasn't working and told it it wasn't the correct unit for use under a house. It's for us in a basement or mudroom. They also said it would be purchased at Home Deport for about $300.00.

We have been with Universal Pest Control for years and they continue to exceed our expectations. Our technician, Justin, is professional, friendly, and takes care of any problems we're having. He even takes the time to visit with our dogs. I would recommend them.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. We had a monthly pest control agreement and still had bugs at all times. My house is always spotless, but we lived in a wooded area, so we had bugs. Also, the office people are extremely rude.

The tech that came to the house Justin Gartman was great, he was prompt clean and quickly rid our house of our ant problem. If you're in the market for a great service plan for pest control and great customer service you can't go wrong with universal.

They were exactly on time and very polite. Bobby did an excellent job explaining everything to me and I would definitely recommend them to other people!

It took a number of complaints and trips for them to complete the job they were supposed to do and finally I just paid so I could be done with it. Did patch work because they didn't put the moisture barrier down right the first time. Will not be using again or recommending.

I signed up with this company to have help with a rat problem I am having. I hired the company to help find out how the rat was getting into my kitchen. The man that showed up from Universal Pest Control did not almost try to help me find out where the rat was coming in at. He only put down traps and sticky pads all in the house. He told me he would go to the crawl space and put stuff under the house.

The next time I called them the same man came back and said he did not put anything under my house because the crawl space had a board with two screws in it and he did not have a screw driver. When I try to cancel my contract because they did nothing to fix my problem, then they want to charge me a $150 cancellation fee. Use another company.

This company has been the just the absolute worse. I originally signed up for their pest and termite plan when I purchased my house and continued throughout the time I have had it and converted it to a rental property. I have been paying them for years for pest and termite service. As it was explained to me originally I would be covered if the their was termites, needless to say I have got termite at the rental property.

The only thing they cover is to come out and retreat the property with the same bogus treatment that didn't prevent the termites in the first place. Just an FYI do your research and do you due diligence on this company. Spend very little more and get terminix or someone else. see pics attached, some warranty!

I've been using universal for over 5 years now and they are great. All of their technicians are friendly and professional. Today technician, Sam Phthisic came by. He was thorough, on time and very friendly.

Purchased our new home within the past year and Universal seemed to be highly recommended by our real estate agent and online reviews searches. Overall, we have been extremely pleased with the services they have provided that were in the contract as well as going above and beyond by our service agent, Andy Sincharge. He's given us recommendations for potential entry points that he has found during his services that we may not have seen ourselves since we rarely, if ever, go into the attic. The only reason for not giving 5 stars in this review is that they no longer offer invoicing for the services, which made it more convienient.

I had these guys out last year for a termite inspection, the inspector was good last year and pointed out some things. This week another inspector came back, and went to look at the attic first. He got up on a ladder and looked around from the access and pointed out some condensation on the drain pipe off the air handler and a bird nest in one of the vents, but then started to get down.

I asked him, "are you not going to go up and inspect the whole attic?" He told me it was unsafe because there was no flooring, and that termites start from the bottom. I told him he could leave if he wasn't going to do a proper inspection. This would have cost me $128 to have them do this, probably wouldn't have gone very far under the crawl space either.

The owner has reached out to me and has expressed a genuine concern on why we left them for regular pest service. I want to state that we still have our termite contract with them and that won't change. We were just very unhappy with our bi monthly pest service.
