Had an appointment, waited for hours in my apt and due to some ego trip from their call center (they told me i hang up on them which is totally untrue and quite frankly irrelevant), cancelled my appointment without even telling me. I found out when i called them. Completely wasted my half day and very rude customer service to boot.

I am so happy with the services I received from Dial-A-Bug. I was contacted by Dial-A-Bug, to confirm my appointment via phone. I received an appointment time that someone would be arriving between the hours of 1pm-5pm. At 2pm a worker by the name of Jay arrived to complete my services. Jay was very professional and polite. Jay inspected every area and access hole for rodents within my apartment.

He took his time reviewing each room and closet in my apartment to find access holes and then proceeded to seal them. Jay was very neat he did not leave any mess behind and he also provided other solutions to rid my home of rodents. I am pleased with the services Jay performed today and I would recommend his services and Dial-A-Bug to others in the future. Thank you Jay and Dial-A-Bug for your help & professional services.

My building switched to this pest control company, not sure why because the one we've had for years always came at the same time, was polite and helpful. This company shows up in the afternoon on a Saturday with no set time. I literally had to call twice to the base because they had not yet came to my apartment. I was told they were in the building and coming, sat here for another hour, no tv no music, reading a book.

Then when I called back because he still hadn't come, was told me knocked on my door. He must have the hands of a mouse because I don't know how I didn't hear lol. They said he could come back in an hour. When he finally came back he was aggressive and rude from the jump. Never met this person and he's coming into my home, and shows up saying "just so you know this is the only time im coming back because I knocked" my sister was literally on the phone and heard the whole thing and was also shocked how someone representing a company feels like they can speak to someone like this.

She recorded the entire thing because she was equally disgusted, so he can say whatever. We have it all! I was literally going to thank him for coming back, but the way he approached was highly unprofessional. I will not be spoken to like that when I did nothing wrong but wait all day for a service I've received from another company for 10 years without issue. Got along with the last guy perfectly fine. Dude also commented on how my apartment was cluttered. It's Christmas season and I run a small business so have orders. which is none of his business. Very rude!

Building management has an arrangement with this exterminator company. In addition to monthly visits for roach extermination, upon moving into the building earlier this year I have experienced bed bugs. Don't mind the fact that I did not know the building has a history of bed bugs, but I digress. I've had a total of three bed bug treatments and one roach treatment.

One bed bug treatment is supposed to last 12 weeks. While the technicians were nothing but respectful, the treatments just appeared not to work! Living in my apartment for less than 6 months however I've had the equivalent of 9 months worth of treatment.

My building management hired Dial-A-Bug to provide special services to my apartment after restoration work gave rodents access to my apartment. Having mice can be extremely invasive, overwhelming and even depressing. I had three maintenance workers try to resolve the problem with no luck. But after Dial-A-Bug serviced my apartment, no more mice! The Dial-A-Bug Tech (#62 James) arrived on time.

He walked into my apartment with an air of confidence that he would resolve the problem. He started his work by giving me safety instructions pertaining to the solutions he would be applying. Then he gave me an overview of his plan of action. His communication made the experience professional and comforting. He proceeded to work and was extremely thorough.

He checked every nook and cranny in my apartment for holes. He even had a small mirror with an extendable arm to exam hard to reach places. Within 15 minutes I heard him say "I found the point of entry." Music to my ears! He finished up and concluded his services by sharing information about the sealant dry time. Since Dial-A-Bug's service, the mice are completely gone! I feel comfortable in my own home again. I am extremely grateful to Dial-A-Bug and to Tech number 62.

I called them to service a three unit house for roaches with one unit being the source of the problem. I spoke to the tech before he even started the job and explained the situation. When i tell you he looked like he didn't want to be bothered. he dabbed a tiny dot of a gel in 3 spots and he was done. I told my tenants to empty cabinets and all he did was a quick spray in each and he was out the door. I called the main office back and all she could say is the tech did what he was supposed too. I wished i took a video of it because this was the worst service ever.

The woman lucy lied, ,,s he sent a man over to my apt for beatles, ,i nstead he used a clear gel for ants, ,t he mans name was andy, ,,,t his woman lucy swore by him and said he is the best she has, ,,,,,w ell not even 1/2 hour later i am still infested, ,,s o a few days later they sent another man over, ,,h e sprayed and sprayed for 18 minutes, ,,,,,w ell 3 hours later more beatles, they are small like ants but they are discusting to see in a kitchen, ,,,i called my exterminator he came over with a can of raid, ,,,,y es raid, ,,,a nd guess what, ,,,,,a ll gone, ,,t his company is not good at all, ,i never use them for my apartment i have my own exterminator, ,,,,r ead the 311 reports and see yourself, ,,,m y building is infected, ,,w e did have a great company they fired his company and hired a cheaper one, ,,n ow we are infested for years, yes years, ,,,m y building is owned by residential management in brooklyn, ,,n ever use this dial a bug, never use lucy, they are horrid

Had a great experience working with Dial-A-Bug. Their technician was professional and the service was excellent. I haven't had an issue with cockroaches in months thanks to Dial-A-Bug. Would highly recommend!

My management had dial a bug call me to set up an appointment. At first there was some confusion about the date of service. I spoke with Casey and it was straightened out. Peter was the man he checked every where. Plugged up holes, moved my refrigerator and stove. He gave me some good tips about dealing with rodents. Thank u Casey and Peter, I appreciate u!

Our management company has hired Dial-a-Bug for monthly maintenance. Sometimes they either do not show up, or when they do, they tap so lightly on the door that we cannot hear them. One time I put a sign on the door telling them to ring the doorbell, and they still lightly knocked. It feels like they aren't really interested in servicing us. **REPLY TO OWNER: Peggy, our property management company, HSC Management, has explicitly stated that we are not allowed to make appointments outside of the monthly visit.

The President, Josh Koppel, called this "special treatment." Please just tell your techs to actually ring the doorbell or knock louder than a light tap and make an effort to get in touch with the tenants on the sign-up sheet.

The service I received was provided by the management of my building. If I paid I would of contacted better business bureau. The exterminators that arrive are aggressive, careless, rude absolutely horrendous. I had the first technician yell at me to leave my apartment. I felt so uncomfortable leaving him there with my stuff the only solution I had was to reluctantly give him 20 bucks.

After he received the money his tone and demeanor changed. No more than 15 minutes of labor they spray and leave. The preparation they make you do is specific and time consuming removing electrical outlets from the walls move all your furniture to center of the room. It's literally moving all over again. For 15 mins of spraying. Avoid at all costs.

If I could I would of payed out of pocket and got a real professional company. *Be weary the staff are bullies calling me to claim I didn't "prepare" enough. I was getting notices from my management I would be held responsible about my neighboring apartments. The audacity of this company. avoid avoid avoid

I've tried a few different pest control companies around the NY area, but I've never found one with the same professionalism and service as Dial A Bug. They have extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff that always make it a pleasant experience. I'll never have to look for pest control services again

Received a phone call from them. I assumed it was a routine check see if you have bed bugs but the technician told me it was because of a complaint by someone in the building.? Way confused since because of Covid no one has been in my apt except me and bf. He checks one bedroom I assume no issues. but hes condescending. I don't see any bed bugs yet? Ok. he goes in my second bedroom and says he doesn't want to break anything? Confused ok I don't want you to either he looks around the bed and just stands there I'm watching him he's watching me?

Not sure what he wanted me to do I ask he says again he doesn't want to break anything what does that mean I ask I'm assuming he wanted me to lift my Matress. he didn't I didn't so I tell him to leave weird encounters I don't think I have bed bugs maybe he was planning on plantings them. maybe he did. waste of my time

I have water bugs. Because of Covid only the basement was treated. The water bugs were still around. Dial-a-big came back and charged me a third of the original price. This time the first floor was treated. The waterbugs made it to my second floor and the front hall. They would come back but charge me again at the lower price. I said they failed to kill the bugs.

They stated they won't send a tech and not get paid. They were here twice in 2 months. I'll call another company. The techs were nice but there were no results. I won't use them again

Horrible company. They tried to get my family evicted by testifying for my landlords against us because I needed a non chemical treatment due to my serious lung condition. They offer themselves non chemical on their website, but still try to push chemicals on us. They ended up losing in court.

We have rental property and one of our tenants bought roaches with them. Ugh! Dial a bug gave the best quote. Anytime I call them they are professional and they send a text confirmation for appointments.

I have a 7 lb Yorkie and after the exterminator leaves we find this. Not cool. And also- how is that splatter on the wall and floor helpful. I'm livid.

Man, I evaded them for 8 years but every New Yorker's worst fear finally caught up to me last month. 99% sure that the source was a stretched canvas with a wooden frame that my boyfriend and I picked up off the street and decided to stash under my bed until we were ready to use it. I've always been very selective/cautious about street freebies but didn't think about this one as a risk (lesson learned -- wooden frames/artwork make great hiding places).

We both started noticing an alarming amount of bug bites about a week later -- more than we could attribute to summer mosquito season -- and as soon as I thought about the framed canvas, I wrapped it up and tossed it to eliminate the source. But, clearly something was still hanging around and the bites persisted so I let my (fantastic) super know that I was pretty sure I had the beginning of a problem.

Our building works with Dial-A-Bug for routine services so they were also the ones he called to coordinate an inspection. Spoiler alert: these guys solved my problem very quickly (the whole process took about two and a half weeks from the initial inspection to the second round of treatment) and made what I was afraid would be a nightmare situation into what felt like a very manageable one.

No time was wasted at all -- when the inspector came to see what was going on a day or two later, my friend, who had kindly agreed to meet him at my apartment and let him in, accidentally locked both of them out of the building. With my permission, the inspector managed to!climb in through my window! (first floor perks) to avoid having to reschedule the appointment and let the problem worsen. Eternally grateful to this man.

After looking around for a bit, he found one bug in my room which meant they would proceed with a full on treatment of my bedroom, my roommate's room, and our living room. A detailed checklist was left behind outlining everything that would need to be done before the first treatment (put literally every item in those three rooms in sealed plastic bags, run every piece of clothing/all linens through a super hot dry cycle, take everything off the walls, remove outlet covers, disassemble our beds and prop them up against the walls, etc.) to ensure success and, again, gave us a reassuring sense of control.

On both treatment dates, the exterminators showed up within the time frames that were agreed upon, were friendly, and got in and out pretty quickly -- giving my roommate clear sets of instructions about what we needed to do along the way. Since the two treatments (which were just a week apart), I haven't seen any new activity or bites and am confident that we no longer have a problem. I'm so thankful to this team for both their great communication for their effectiveness at doing what they do. 10 stars if I could.

And PS. if you find yourself reading this in the midst of panicking/shopping for options -- I promise it's not the end of the world (I didn't have to replace my bed or any other furniture!) and well worth calling these guys to help. Better to err on the side of caution and call in the pros sooner rather than later.

Did an absolutely incredible job--communicative, responsive, accommodating, thorough and so, so helpful! They brought a canine twice to detect the bed bugs in our apartment and even our car. Were incredibly accommodating when we asked to changed treatments around because of our child. And were very communicative about timing of treatments. Finally, they were always available--phone or email--they were never hard to get a hold of and were very responsive. They also provided receipts and documentation of all procedures upon request. Really great to work with.

My roommates and I had set an appointment a week ago for someone to come by between 10-2. I have had to call numerous times to ask the status of the exterminator, and at one point they had no idea where he was. The girl on the phone wasn't very helpful and seemed to be annoyed that I was checking up on the status of the exterminator. It is now close to 3 pm and there is still no sign of the exterminator, nor is he on his way. I am extremely disappointed with their poor customer service.

I will NEVER use these people again. Professionalism cost nothing at allllll. Thanks but no thanks they never even finished the treatment. the woman that answered the phone was so RUDE! However, spoke to a man there that had way more sense and people skills. don't let a voice determine how customers should be treated.
