It is very important to us that we continue to support our customers and let you know we are here for you. Orange oil is a locally applied treatment. However, through the use of our scope and inject method it can be used for whole house warranty. This means that it is an approved method for homes that need escrow clearances. Our scope and inject method involves the use of optic technology to inspect wall voids and other areas that would normally be inaccessible so that all areas of infestation in a structure can be located and treated.

Drywood termites infest dry, undecayed wood, , including redwood, dead limbs of native trees, shade and orchard trees, utility poles, posts, as well as structural lumber, and lumber in storage. To establish new colonies, winged reproductives will swarm to exposed wood on the exterior of nearby buildings and other structures.

If you don't read this whole review, read this: -> Fumigation (tenting) does not kill termite eggs. Orange oil does. -> Fumigation does not kill ground termites. The technicians told me orange oil does. -> The Service Technician Kyle does an excellent, thorough job. -> The Inspector Neecole does an excellent, thorough job. I hadn't had a termite inspection for several years, then about a year ago I saw sawdust-like material dropping from the wooden beams in my garage.
I first called another termite company and they did a free inspection. The inspector didn't seem to me to do a very thorough job though, and the quote said I would have to tent the house and it was very expensive. A friend told me about XTermite -- they use orange oil -- no poison, no tenting, biodegradable. I decided to get a comparison (also a free inspection).
The inspector who came was Neecole. His inspection was obviously much more thorough then the first outfit. And I learned I had ground termites under the deck. The crew then came out (first two men, then two more) and spent several hours treating minor infestations in various locations, but the worst infestation was in the garage beams. No tenting, no poisons, I didn't have to leave the house, and the treatment cost was very much less than the other company's quote.
Then about a year later I again the sawdust-like material in the garage (these are termite droppings that the termites push out of the wood). I called Xtermite. A Service Technician came the next day. There was no charge (warranty). The technician's name was Kyle. I was so impressed with his work! He spent hours treating all areas of the problem beams -- and saturating nearly the whole length of the main beam! Xtermite is a good outfit.

Our inspector, Ricky, was very thorough and provided us a lot of information about the areas of the house that needed treatment. He was also willing to look into spaces that we were concerned about and provided feedback on what to do and what he would recommend. Very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly! We look forward to using Xtermite for treatment in the future.

We did not want toxic chemicals pumped into the home, nor put into the ground under and around our home. The tenting process would have wiped out a lot of landscaping near the home. The house is 96 years old with a steeply pitched roof and there would have been a considerable extra charge with the dangerous task of getting the tent on our roof. We had a heat treatment company come out but were told that process can warp your floorboards and cause damage to other items in your home.
We were also told by a reputable termite company that the tenting process is a "brutal process" on any home but especially ours. Enter Xtermite and their orange oil method. Takes a few hours, you don't need to leave the home, only leaves behind orange scent and a few targeted holes where they need to inject their organic sprays. Arguably it is not as effective as gas and injections of a termicide but it is good enough. AND, they have an outstanding program where they will come to the home and retreat any hot spots, free, for three years. AND, they do a once per year free inspection.
I highly recommend you ask for Neecole Brooks to come inspect your home. This guy knows his stuff, will answer every single question you have with patience and decades of experience.

We had evidence of termites in our home, so we sought estimates from ' Tenting termite services and non-tenting 'Orange Oil' companies. XTERMITE had a very competitive price and we really liked the idea of not tenting our home and all that involves. Our representative 'Neecole Brooks' was professional and attentive to our concerns and very pleasant to work with.
He explained the differences between the types of Termite treatments and how we probably got termites in the first place. The company was very responsive and the technician (I don't remember his name) that did the work was friendly and helpful. Overall a very good experience.
