I often think it's a combination of the actual technician and the company that makes for a great experience. Neighborly has been our pest control company since we moved in three years ago but it's Doug Stone our technician, that makes this such a great relationship. Twice I've had to call him in because of some sort of ant or spider infestation and he's always right there when I need him.

Always checks in with me when he's here to make sure he hasn't forgotten anything and is always super responsive. If you haven't worked with Neighborly you should.

We are so happy that Doug came to check out our property for pests. He showed us a few problems and his breath of knowledge on all things that we call pests is incredible. I thought I was speaking with a PHD on Pest management. He treated our property and just a day later we saw a number of dead insects including a black widow which we didn't even know we had a problem with.

We are so happy with the initial visit and I look forward to the the next visit in 2 months where I'm sure will learn more about the pests that we see and those we don't see around us.

Doug offers us such excellent customer service that I could not imagine using any other service. We have been very happy with this company and we usually just communicate with Doug directly. He is always accessible and we feel very lucky to have him as our technician. He is an expert in his field and we feel very confident with his recommendations and treatments.

I have used Neighborly Pest Management for many years and I have always been very happy with their service. They notify you in advance what day they will be coming out. The technician is always so nice and professional. He always knocks on my door to let me know he has arrived and asks me if I'm having any specific issues. On a few occasions I have needed extra help with black widows or other pests and they always come right out and take care of the problem.

Out technician Andy is awesome. He always goes above and beyond in both technician and customer service. He provides valuable tips and insights in how to control pest problems [e.g. using flashlight indoors (in corners) to find and kill spiders and destroy their webs] and leaves our property well protected from pests. Neighborly Pest Management is the best. We have been with them for many years and are always pleased with their service(s).

This is an update to my original post. This company is a joke. Due to my review about one certain employee and the owner, this company canceled the contract with the Management company that is running this Senior apartment complex. Now there are over 200 residents here, many that has serious bug problems not counting the cockroach problem they can't seem to get a handle on.

So they used me as an excuse to stop helping over 200 senior citizens control an insect problem. Understand this, this complex is on the south end of Elk Grove. Located next to open fields, cow pastures, and farms. There will be a bad bug problem. Doesn't seem to matter to this pest control company. Just one bad review from one resident out of 200 and this pest company acted like a spoiled child and dropped the contract. This should tell you something about the character of this company. Do not hire this company. You will regret it. This is just my opinion, and the truth.

This is the second property that we've owned and used Neighborly. They are such a wonderful company to deal with and provide a great service at a great value. Andy is a great technician and always discusses our service with us to make sure we haven't noticed any problems, or to discuss anything he has noticed. He also gives us tips on how to store our stuff to prevent problems in the future. I would always recommend them!

This company is awesome. They always let you know in advance what day and time your next visit will be. It's great because I can get my doggy door in before he starts. I just love Adam my technician. After a plumbing issue caused by rats eating through a water pipe in our attic, we called Doug at Neighborly Pest Management to take care of the rodent problem. He was booked for the next couple of days, but told us he would fit us in the next day. He did, and he was here before noon. He set traps in the attic and found the hole where they were getting in and plugged it.

He will be back to check the traps. Doug has been coming to our house for over 5 years to keep ants and other creatures at bay. He is dependable, friendly and a very nice family man. I highly recommend Doug and Neighborly Pest Control.

Doug does a great and thorough job. He has the utmost respect for property and pets. I appreciate his thoroughness. I sent a picture of a bug and he quickly calmed my fears. I appreciate him being there when needed it most.

Have been using them since we moved to granite bay and it's been great! We had a big problem with mice when we were renovating and Andy helped completely clear up the problem! You get the same great service every time and they are always willing to go the extra mile.

I rarely write a one-star review. However, in this case there is no other choice. My parents' home had a house fire two years ago and due to the location of the fire, crawl spaces and ventilation covers were open for one plus months in the cool fall months as repairs and smoke clearing fans in these spaces commenced. This led to a rat infestation, and further delays in the repairs. Neighborly was recommended, and we had an initial visit from Rick.

We were under a lot of stress at the time and wanted repairs to commence and get the rodents out. To that end, we were presented with information that enticed us to sign a year's contract. There was a lot of fanfare upfront, and the cost of repairs was probably what we should have gone with instead of the year's contract ($45/month for 12 months and a monthly visit, plus "intense" monitoring for the first two months on top of $250 or so for startup and repairs.).

The focus here is getting people to sign up, collect money, and never address ongoing issues. A ton of salesmanship and nothing to back it up. No science or hard work to help homeowners dealing with serious issues. Rick even obsessively talked about how the rats were getting in, advising my 80 year old Dad to crawl under a small space to clear out debris and leaves because he saw "rat forms" in the leaves. Rick also insisted that we get the ductwork repaired before he came in and did his repairs. Naturally, the ductwork guys ended up doing a lot of the pest control company's work and cleared out a rat family in the course of their repairs.

Other than the initial assessment which located some access points, which was helpful (two men came over and covered access points with steel wire and a hammer), they used mouse glue traps and a Victor rat trap under the kitchen sink for "intense monitoring" and poison bait stations outside. I saw mice in the house, but was told "that's good because it means the rats are gone as they can't co-exist." At about the same time, I found rat droppings in a kitchen drawer.

I and my dad started to set traps that we had on hand (snap-E traps from Iowa) months into the contract. We caught mice. In the house. There was little action- in fact some hostility- as the glue traps were untouched- and we were told to buy foam insulation and cover up holes ourselves in the garage, where they were "probably" coming in- after I (emphasis I) found droppings.

The last straw was when I came over to start preparing thanksgiving last year and discovered tons of mice droppings- old and new- in the pantry. I spent hours cleaning up and sanitizing the mess when I had planned to prepare the next day's dinner. Everything was sealed except for a small bag of granola, which they had eaten. It was especially ironic as the monthly inspection had occurred a week prior and NONE of this was discovered.

Again we caught more mice, and the glue traps were untouched. I cancelled the next year's contract (which renewed automatically every year), and wouldn't you know it- two days after the contract expired, the dishwasher stopped working. The appliance repairman came, and discovered months worth of rat and mice activity under the dishwasher, nest building, wall and wire chewing.

They even pulled out all the insulation and made a cozy bed for themselves. 100's of dollars later in repairs, and a now 81 year old Dad going to the hardware store, he spent a day fortifying the dishwasher enclosure with metal sheathing. He set rat traps under the house and in three days caught more than Neighborly had in a year. I went outdoors and found that a bait station under the house had been accessed with the crawl space and the "gate" was ajar.

My Dad had to fix that access point as well. In one year Neighborly caught zero mice and there was two dead rats in the baited outdoor traps. We really liked our pest control guy who came, but the approach at Neighborly is get them to sign up and ignore issues. We had 100's of dollars of repairs to tackle from their negligent work. I even called Rick to ask for help after the dishwasher crisis and all he wanted was me to sign another year's contract and BLAMED ME for not keeping up the contract, saying, "we guarantee nothing, that's why you need to keep the contract going all the time." So- if you want to do as we did- light up about $1250 for repairs and monthly monitoring, while rodents make new homes in your home, go ahead and sign a contract with Neighborly Pest.

My wife and I started using Neighborly Pest Management when we bought our house, and it's been nothing but a 5-star experience ever since! This company, and Doug specifically, is top-notch. So professional, attentive, affordable, and personal. We couldn't be happier, and we feel great knowing we have Doug as a our technician. We hope he never leaves the company! Definitely recommend.

Cannot say enough great things about this company. Customer service is second to none. I've called a couple of times for an off cycle treatment and they come within a couple of days free of charge. If you are in Lincoln, Rocklin or Roseville and are in need of pest control you really should use Neighborly!

We started using Neighborly Pest almost a year and a half ago due to having a nightmare worthy amount of black widows around our house. Our daughter, at the time, was 6 months old and about to start crawling, so we were extra worried about her coming into contact with one once she was on the move. In the time that has passed, I have only seen ONE black widow in the back yard.

This place was recommended to us, and I recommend it to anyone who asks. The customer service is always great (Joe is our guy). Although I've only done it once, I love that they will come out, free of charge, in between services to spray again if needed. Or even the inside of your house or garage! Joe is awesome and everyone I've ever talked to on the phone there is super friendly. Neighborly Pest is the right choice!

Thank you for ending my horror show! For a month, my kitchen has been crawling with ants. I keep a very clean home and those damn things were all over my counters, sink, toaster oven, stove, walls and floors. After a bunch of home remedies, the damn things showed up in my bedroom closet! My closet! Why were they in there? That was enough! I called this company and was very impressed with their professionalism and customer service. Sal showed at my home and he is a very nice man. Yes, like the other review I wish I could give them a Zero rating. We are selling our home and they did a Pest inspection, finding some things to correct, but before we could have them correct the problem areas and "clear" the property, they sent an email to our agent (no call despite her giving them business for 10 years) advising her that they aren't doing Pest inspection/repair work anymore.

Not that they are first finishing up their open cases mind you, but they just stopped mid-stream which, to me, is so unethical I can hardly believe it. So here we are urgently getting another Pest company to do an inspection, perform whatever work is needed, and "clear" the property so the buyer can get his VA loan. In addition, their inspector mistakenly left water running in the sink to the point of overflow, damaging our custom baseboards. Thank God we didn't have wood floors.

This is my favorite place to talk to other pest control professionals. This business has an amazing amount of knowledge in 1 building.

I have done business with Neighborly Pest Management for over 15 years as a real estate broker and have used them on own my properties. They recently made a very timely and professional effort to save one of my clients from an unexpected bug problem right after moving in! They were at the property in about an hour and had the situation well in-hand right away, diagnosing the type of bugs and getting the appropriate treatment done on the spot.

My client said she slept like a baby that night, knowing the problem was under control (not so much the night before!) They are thorough, and I have found a reason to disagree with a call they have made!
