Hydrex gave us a competitive bid for a pre-move fumigation and subterranean termite treatment. Jason did a great job of explaining through email and a phone call what the treatment would be like, and answering our "newbie homeowner" questions. Fumigation was subcontracted to Best Care (see separate review). Wade completed the subterranean treatment ahead of schedule and checked with us on his work. The front desk was also responsive via phone/email. Overall, Hydrex made a complicated experience as simple as it could be -- nice work!

This was our third job for Hydrex. They sent Wade, an excellent carpenter, as well as pest control expert. Previously he replaced our wooden porch steps, and also repaired siding on two sides of our mobile home, including window frames. I was amazed at the quality of the work. This time Wade repaired the sub floor of our shower, repairing wood rot, and spraying for fungus and mold.

The work was, as usual, 5 star. Now Bathfitters can come and install a shower, because they do not do sub floor repair. I am so lucky to have found Hydrex, and know I will get fantastic work, at a reasonable price. The next time I need repair on my mobile home I will check with Hydrex first! The folks from Hydrex are really amazing. We've been dealing with rats in our attic since April. For the first abatement, they patched up potential areas where the rats were entering. Unfortunately the rats still found a way in.not due to anything Hydrex really missed, but more about the tenaciousness of the rats. They came out the house three more times, all under warranty and at no charge, to help us find the new entry points. We worked primarily with Jason who took the time to explain everything about rat behavior. If you have rats, give them a call.

I have been using Hydrex Pest Control service for 21 years. They efficiently schedule their service, arrive within the agreed time window, and get the job done. I haven't had a problem.

I had an ant infestation and Hydrex came in with a chemical that was not harmful to pets and humans. I didn't have to leave or clear my cabinets and when done not a ant in site. Hydrex Pest Control is fantastic!

What a great company! I've used them on several occasions for termite inspections and remediation and found Jason to be very responsive, competent with a real depth of industry knowledge. The front office was also very professional and usually answered the phone or called back quickly. I recently called to have Jason do a secondary inspection of my sisters house nearby when the first inspection by another company was inconclusive. Jason was able to quickly identify and rectify the situation which was a huge relief!

So I called for a bi-monthly service quote and was told by Paula that they are not taking any new clients in my area? Um. ok. So you're basically saying instead of hiring somebody else you just don't want any more business? OK then, I am taking my business elsewhere. So if you're looking in the Tri Valley for service you might want to look elsewhere :/ SMH

We have been using Hydrex for a few years and are so happy with their service. They are always professional and helpful and they are there if you need them. I had an ant problem pop up right near Thanksgiving last year and I was expecting about 25 people for dinner. There were ants on the outside of the house and a different type of ant taking over my kitchen.

I called and asked it they could help me out as soon as they could since I had so many people coming and the ants were everywhere. Jason showed up for us (after work even) to tackle the problem Jason saved my Thanksgiving and so far the ants have not returned. I recommend Hydrex to anyone looking for an honest pest control service and a service that helps you out when you are knee deep in ants,

We found a nest of black widows in our backyard! Yikes! I called several services and no one would come out that day. I got lucky with Hydrex! They were out within the hour and totally took care of the problem. Thanks Wade! I will definitely be using them for all my future pest needs.

This company is very responsive, helpful, and informative. My tenant's left bedbugs behind and did not tell me. By the time they left the place was terribly infested. Although the treatment seemed to do the trick, these bedbugs were fortified and all did not leave. I should have had a dog come in to be sure they were gone, but with the poison along the edges of each room, the dog owner would not allow his dog in.

I waited the full week I believe it was without removing the poison and then the new tenants moved in about 3 weeks later. (Should have brought the dogs back after cleaning the poison as Hydrex will come back within 30 days? for a discounted rate.) Unfortunately a week after tenant moved in she was out of her mind when her family had bedbug bites! Yes, she could have moved them in herself but since it was just a week of occupancy, we ended up tenting the entire place as some bedbugs are becoming resistant to these poisons.

If you've got bedbugs, I'd tent the place next time as I spent 1K for Hydrex and then over 2K to the tenting exterminators. Be careful though, as some of these tenting employees or some thieves that watch these tents go up and wait for the airing out process to break in as what happened to us. What an expensive nightmare bedbugs are! Yes, I would hire Hydrex as they were so responsive, informative and patient with my madness during this terribly stressful time.

These guys rock. I have used them for multiple treatments at a property. They are prompt, courteous and thorough. Their documentation is great. I had a last minute need for a treatment and Jason went by at 9pm to get it done. Talk about going above and beyond! I would give them 10 stars if I could. You should have no reservations about using this company for your pest-control needs. Highly recommend!

I was covered in hives for a few months when I realized I had bedbugs that were causing this reaction. To say I was freaked out is an understatement. Jason from Hydrex was calm and matter-of-fact; just what I needed. He gave me such an educatoin that I feel armed and ready for future travels. We did some pre-treatment before calling Hydrex, and for 2 days I was bite-free, but on day 3.more welts. Jason came out quickly, and he explained how possible it was to bring them home and start an infestation; how well they hide.

He was knowledgeable, and worked hard. I know what to look for in the future, how to protect myself, and best of all, I'm bite-free since Hydrex was here. I am very grateful.

Writing a review for the aftermath. although I appreciated the service in 2015, for some reason I got an email notification that they were coming again in Jan 2018 even though the tenant on the email moved out 2.5 yrs ago and I sold my property soon after. Its seemed to be an annual bug spraying email notification, so thinking it was a mistake I emailed back letting them know I had cancelled service with them years ago and the new owners would not appreciate spraying without their permission. turns out they really were going to go and spray, so it seems like they were trying to take advantage of a spray renewal that I remember them trying to push for. All these bug companies are pushy, just be aware! They're like car salesmen!

Found a bunch of termite droppings in the garage and literally caused some sleepless nights. Thankfully it looked like it was isolated to a couple of beams. Jason at Hydrex, like the MANY other pest control companies I got quotes for, recommended a full house tenting because the termites could be anywhere and tenting is the only way to be sure to get them all.

But given our special circumstances and a long list of reasons to avoid full house tenting, Jason was really supportive of the local treatment option for us. He gave us competitive pricing on it as well! His tech came out on time, explained everything that he was going to do, performed a local treatment, reported what he found when he did the treatment, and what we can expect to see going forward.

The tech was professional, courteous, efficient, and an all around great guy! He warned us that we will continue to see droppings but that they will diminish over time. He did such a great job that pretty much immediately, the dropping stopped. He got them! And the chemical they use is transmittable from one termite to another. So if they sprayed one termite, it will spread it to others that weren't in the treatment area.

The idea is that it eventually spreads to the queen and the colony dies. So far, a number of months post treatment, that seems to be what's happened. I'm so thankful to Hydrex. Jason and Hydrex are the BEST!

I called Hydrex San Jose about bedbugs. I think when people call pest control they feel stressed and rushed and are therefore vulnerable to people in this business that are not honest. As in many other instances, I spent time looking at Yelp reviews and found it very helpful. I called several companies. The San Jose Hydrex office was responsive and more credible on the phone than others. Jason came to the house and was excellent: professional, knowledgeable, listened to our situation and was very informative which was calming and inspired confidence. He is experienced with and uses a range of methods, including heat, steam, a variety of chemicals, which is what you want in your corner if you are battling this pest.

I do not think they have free estimates, I believe they charge $125 for the estimate and once you decide to use them half of that can be used towards your service cost. Also, they minimum service cost is $360. I have used Hydrex twice. Once about 4 years ago when I have some pigeons nesting at my house. They put up pikes there. After they finished, they mentioned "well, just letting you know that the pikes will get rid of the pigeons, but small birds might be able to get in this space." Guess what?

The small birds really come and nest there a few years later. So I have to call them to come by again. The thing that I don't understand is why they did not just put a mesh there to avoid any birds to get in when they first came? Shouldn't they understand that no homeowner would like any birds to live at the roof? I was happy about the work after it was done.

They were on time and Wade is very efficient on his work. However, I am not happy that it takes them twice to do it right and I had to pay them twice. I do believe that their price is reasonable though. The other companies might give you a free estimate but they charge more when they service you. Which is why I asked Hydrex to come fix the issue again.

Jason serviced my house. He was pleasant, professional and did a great job so far in inspecting and baiting my home for rats and checking for termites. I'lll use Hydrex for fixing my home to plug the holes. We cannot say enough and will use Hydrex for any pest issues in the future.

These guys are awesome. Jason helped me out, very friendly, honest and straightforward. Wish there were more good smaller businesses around like this. Previous companies tried to sell me on big expensive plans. Jason gave me reasonable options and provided honest analysis. Thier prices are reasonable, not cheap, but fair. I strongly recommend and will use them again.

We had a small pest problem in our office in Watsonville so I gave a few companies a call for quotes. In the end Hydrex was the cheapest and the fastest option for taking care of our situation. The technicians name was Ryan and he did a fantastic job. He was very professional and I could tell that he really knew what he was talking about.
