In the northern San Francisco Bay area, MSMVCD is the Marin and Sonoma County representative of the Mosquito and Vector Control Association of California, a service organization encompassing 50 regional member agencies. The District maintains a tiny but expertly trained unit responsible for the prevention, elimination or control of mosquitoes and other arthropods known to be potential carriers of infectious diseases, or presenting a public nuisance.

I got a quick response (within 2 hours) from a pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable technician who spoke with me and looked around the property to identify the source of mosquitos. He provided me with options and did some treatment while he was out. My only complaint is that the agency doesn't have mosquito fish available until mid-May so I need to call again to get fish for my pond.
That's not a bad reflection on the technician. I just think the agency should keep a waiting list/back order list so I don't need to call again for the fish, since they already have all the info they need to get fish to me.

They came out and got rid of bees nesting in ground in my back yard. I couldn't be here but put a chair over the location and the guy later thanked me for making it easy for him to find. Now I've got a huge bee problem in front in a crack in a stone wall that I noticed them coming in and out of. Will call today but I want to be here when they come because I'm curious how they deal with it and I have questions about bees.

Absolutely wonderful service! They removed yellow jackets from their in-ground nest in less than 24 hours after I submitted a request. They expedited it because we had a person who was allergic to bee/yellow jacket stings living close to the nest. And the service was free! Truly remarkable nowadays.

Good educational info and easy contact process on their website. Responded quickly-within 1 day. Phone call ahead of time. Friendly service by Brad for in ground Yellowjackets in ground nest which were mostly gone within a couple of hours. Nick came later the same day-very friendly and educational as he walked the entire perimeter for potential spots and educated me how to proactively keep rodents at bay. Excellent service! Highly recommend both guys!

I just want to say how great our experience has been with Vector Control. We live in Kenwood and had both a yellow jacket and tree hole mosquito infestation in our yard. Nick came out within 2 days of our call and took care of both problems for us. He was prompt, polite and even educated my wife and me about insect populations and control. This is the second year in a row now we've had a positive experience. A great county service!
